I agree they are getting alot more...but don't forget...this company is now listed as one of Liberty capitals holdings and their stock is a tracker. What this means big picture is that for their stock to succeed...Sirius...as one of the components it is made up of needs to perform.....and with the power and influence they now yield...the times they are a changing!

For starters, retail in Q4 was negative. Got that? OEM's are falling drastically, which is negative. I've been following this company for 6 years, and I know a little of what I'm talking about. There is nothing positive that could have occurred in Q1, which ends in 3 weeks. Retail will have fallen further. OEM will have fallen further.. Do you comprehend the current state of the company? They do NOT need a plan. They need a drastic change in its marketing. They are like the guy who says to the doctor, when I do this, it hurts. Doctor says, stop doing that!

They may have had to have shown Liberty the books in order to close the 2nd phase of the investment by them -- triggering an FD issue that would have required a release like this within a specific timeframe.

In all the years, I have only a seen a quarterly/annual report and PR issued like this -- just one time -- and it was released like that because of an FD issue I later found out.

That's my belief and I'm sticking to it.

So you still think that they're going to LOSE 2 million subscribers this year?

WTF did you think it was going to be.......haven't you been paying attention to the financial collapse of the world economy! Yet they still ended the year with over 19 million subs! Ifully believe the sub numbers for 1q will probably suck too.....but the COH number will also go up in my opinion...I don't get the total negativity I am reading.....things are changing.....its the one thing I definitely took from the Liberty interview...they are gioing to be hands on....and they get influence over 6 seats on the board.

    Brandon,
In two years of reading your articles I think you've only been right once. That was about retail being negligible. I do agree though that Q1 will be bad (probably the worst of this crap storm)... for the entire market. More so for SIRI. If this pig is gonna fly it's going to be up to Liberty to make it happen. And I believe they will... .eventually (a year or two... car sales MUST pick up before SIRI goes anywhere).... I don't want to hear about SIRI going up to .158 or even .1603 or .1701. This sucker needs to climb to $1.00 for me to get excited...

That was the only thing I saw in the report that made me sell 40% of my position at .15 cents. If I was wrong, then I made a quick reaction based on facts, for once, not theory. I dont like the negative retail subs. Basically without the declining auto industry, they would have lost a lot of subs. Only additions came from car sales. Not good. They need the cell phone apps immediately, and the expansion of services. They need to renegotiate contracts. They need to stop writing down losses from the XM merger. Retail sub loss was a lot of double subs, going for Best of. If I had both, and its onlyh because of things best of offered, if you order best of as a SIrius sub, the amount on the bill of that person drops, and you lose 1 sub. You still have 1 customer, but you lost 1 sub. You gained 6.99, but lost 1 sub. NO one walking into a retail store is buying this product. THis is terrible news. They need a new marketing direction, and new ways to access the service. Until I see these things, I dont see a huge rally coming. I will buy back when this stock hits .12 cents again. It will be there sometime before the CC. CC might actually make it drop again. Guidance will be key.

Filing its delayed annual report with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said its net loss widened to $245.8 million from $166.2 million. The per-share loss narrowed to 8 cents from 11 cents, reflecting fewer shares outstanding.
Am I missing something or are they really basing their headline from comparing the combined loss from both companies to the year ago loss for just Sirius here (the numbers are from the actual results for Sirius, not pro forma results)?! Boy, talk spinning the numbers!! I guess that's about what you expect from the WSJ.
