Hasn't this stock always traded on speculative value? The jump to over $60 and all the ups to $10 or more???

How much SIRI does SiriusXM hold? Provided NASDAQ waives the >$1 requirement, one way SIRI could reduce the amount of shares on the market would be to retire stock they held. I'm no accountant, but did sleep in a Holiday Inn last night. If they believed in themselves, wouldn't you like to see a buyback?

Yes a buyback would be great as long as they have cash to pay down debt first.

Does anyone think Mel will address the R/S during the CC?

He did say it was to prevent delisting only.

I would like to see the share float drop.

I would like to see a share buyback first then a reverse split.

1 for 50 would make 6 billion shares 120 million.

I was in Agere before the reverse split and made some decent cash after.

If earnings improve significantly they could do a 2 for 1 split.

    Cool Options going forward

    I agree with RMAN - I think it's very logical as a way forward - and MEL/Staff aren't stupid -

I noted a going concern from several different threads about the mystery surrounding COH - wouldn't be surprised if we get a March/April buyback surprise followed by a milder than expected R/S to catalyze the stock.

Doing that - followed by the synergies and better than expected number for Q4 08 or even mediocre number for Q4 08 followed by a surge from synergies in Q1 09 - and we're looking at good momentum to carry us through this year WHILE THE REST OF THE MARKET IS TANKING.

I'm not quite the analyst as you senior members appear to me - but I understand enough to see MEL is more savvy than he's been given credit for... I think he's got a few more aces to lay on the table this month

Glad to see everyone is coming back together after the drama over Brandon's article. I think I can speak for more of the junior members by telling you it's good to see the focus returning to the board.....

Any chance they will announce MLB coming to Sirius during the CC? I am dying to have this and would think an announcement would be beneficial to both listeners and shareholders.

As far as buybacks go: Certain debt covenants may prevent the company from buying back shares of the stock. They would have to pay off debt before they could buy back shares.

Ok... I am following you on the covenants blocking any buyback... question is - can the lawyers find a way around that? Does it specifically state they must be PAID or could it be interpreted as "dealt with" "negotiated" "insert equivalent legalese" instead....?
