I believe we all deserve to be rewarded with tangible evidence of today's progress in the form of a nice fat closing price.

Speaking of Autos..this intersting little tidbit from Choirgirl (who was b&r in Germany so I trust her) on the other thread...

    >> GM-Bankruptcy and the consequences for Sirius
GM is down today and bk is more likely than ever. Just heard the negotiations between GM and the German goverment are postponed, some very harsh remarks by goverment officials.
The State of Hesse offered up to 5B to take over Opel and their sisters Saab and Vauxhall, but GM can't sell because they don't own it anymore, it belongs to the Treasury already ( plants, buildings , even the patents ).
Graf zu Guttenberg is on his way to talk to Geithner this weekend.
If they get a deal together, this would be good for GM and would this be good for Sirius too, or is this not that important / <<

    Reuters:

    >>UPDATE 1-Sirius closes Liberty deal, ending 2009 debt worries
    Fri Mar 6, 2009 3:42pm EST

NEW YORK, March 6 (Reuters) - Sirius XM Radio Inc (SIRI.O) on Friday completed the remainder of a $530 million capital infusion from John Malone's Liberty Media Corp (LINTA.O) that the satellite radio company said resolves its looming debt deadlines this year.

The deal solves the most pressing critical financial issue for the pay-radio service, which began 2009 with about $1 billion in debt due in the year. It still faces tough problems such as reining in costs and shrinking growth in subscribers.

The closing dissolves the specter of bankruptcy from the company since the second loan was contingent on Sirius auditors not issuing any "going concern" qualifications on the company's 2008 audited results -- which usually mean a company is likely to go bankrupt without additional financing.<<

MSM punks wouldn't be themselves without these closing graphs:

    >>Free of its money problems, Sirius must quickly address operational questions, such as how it will sustain growth as the automotive market slumps and as consumers, worried about their jobs and retirement accounts, rethink discretionary spending.<<
