Killerkaul & the Dog posted over at SA forums that he was working on signing up here to post, said the dog's been sniffing around outside but couldn't find the door yet.... should see him here tomorrow....![]()
Siriusowner..
Neither. The SA site simply couldn't handle it and refused to change the tech. Several of the people migrating to this site have true in depth knowledge of this company and its trading patterns (not me, I'm just tagging along and learning). You have posted some great, if controversal post. I especially liked your post about why investors ride a stock to the bottom. I hope you will choose to visit/contribute to this thread regularly. gotta run, good luck.![]()
Ok then, welcome to the site, I am the voice of reason here...although everyone thinks I am either a basher or a lecturer... I am neither but I do tend to go to the dark side when I see something stupid.
SA never sent me a thank you email.
blue,
Has Mel?
thought not.
He sent me something. But it was ticking. I just left it at my in-laws'.
Koop, thanks for the link. i can understand the lip biting on the read, but makes some decent points on the internet as a platform to grow. The MLB and NFL will be an interesting piece of contract work for SXM to make available and still make money. They appear to be having a problem getting the MLB to be available to Sirius Subscribers in XM's Best of .. Package. Howard is already there and I don't think shows like the Dylan's Theme Time Hour will be a problem to provide.... The opportunity is really in the ability to break out from the Sat coverage and be able to go worldwide throught the net....
Came across this from Feb on the Slate website. Did anyone see this and if so your thoughts. Guy makes a few good points. I did have to bite my lip on a few others.
The last sentence is what it is all about.... "Sirius XM should make sure that Howard Stern and Oprah and Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour and the NFL and Major League Baseball are available on every Internet-connected device on the market."

great to see all the SA folks...looking forward.
It appeared that the Seeking Alpha (SA) Editors had a not so secret adjenda. While a number of articles pulled from Sirius Buzz had a positive outlook for the stock, the Seeking Alpha titles did not. The comments reinforced the factual side of the story. Frustration with lack of Disclosure by Mel and the Board of Directors was fairly common in the threads. There was a decided spin by SA to thrash the image of the company, and the stock as well. Opinions abound, unfortunatley SA was tired of comments by this group of people. SA cited technical reason for purging comments from the articles. The reasoned that only comments related to the article should be allowed to post. A number of the posters here followed the rules to the letter, only to be purged a couple of hours later. The purging was not done to all posters who commented (on topic or Off topic). The purging was done to the members who posted there on a regular basis.

Relmor,
I wasn't as frequent a poster on SA as you (or others) but thanks for setting this up. It took me a while to be able post but I finally made it today.
