Anyone want my take on the "mystery emails?"

It is bullshit marketing hype that will never live up to be anywhere near as cool as you think it might be.

SHOULD COMPANIES CONSIDER REVERSE STOCK splits in these tumultuous times? Yes, says Adele Hogan, a partner in the global law firm of White & Case: "Reverse stock splits are a win-win for shareholders and companies, particularly when paired with a reduction in authorized capital. A reverse stock split gives companies a mechanism for retaining investor confidence and for weathering market downturns."

A reverse split reduces the number of shares outstanding and boosts the per-share price. Historically, it may have been viewed negatively, since it could be used to make a stock look more valuable even if nothing else had changed.

The full article must have something to do with SIRI because it came up under the SIRI ticker. This guy must have no clue about SIRI, a RS "IMO" would be a lose-lose for the Shareholders and the company! Shorts would have a field day and eat this thing alive...

Hopeful, saw that article as well. My first reaction is that the author is making a correct assertion, although what he/she states is incorrect. “ . . . when paired with a reduction in authorized capital” is the line that trips me. Reduction in market cap implies a stock buy-back by the company. Which I think few companies battered below a buck are in a position to do.

That being said, there is some merit to the argument that reverse splits may not be viewed as negatively as they have historically been. With the tumult in the market today, and no end in sight for a quick fix, there is a reason to believe that RS will not be the final grasping at straws for some companies that it was before. These would be companies that have some trouble in their current balance sheet but show a real promise for survival. At some point you have to take market cap into account, and for these companies there will be a limit below swhich market cap is not allowed to drop. SiriusXM is the banner child for this condition, so in that respect an RS may not be the end-all that we are accustomed to seeing.

    The advantages of satellite radio

One of the great advantages of satellite radio is the fact that the programs are not interrupted by commercials. This is because the providers income comes from listeners and not from advertisers...

Please stop posting the entire articles guys. A comment and a link to the article is fine. Its just bad etiquette to wholesale reproduce someone eases content.
