Their biggest hit, Tainted Love (first recorded in 1964 by Gloria Jones), reached number one in the UK and #8 in the United States in 1981. On the 12-inch single, Tainted Love fades into a remake of the Supremes' Where Did Our Love Go. Among Soft Cell's other Britiish hits are Torch, What, Bedsitter, Soul Inside, Where The Heart Is and Say Hello, Wave Goodbye.
