In the 2016 Presidential election, female voters favored Clinton over Trump by 13 points – but Clinton lost.. In the 2024 election, female voters favored Harris over Trump by eight points – but Harris lost. Both elections were decided by male voters. Anne-Marie Slaughter, New America CEO and and former director of policy planning at the State Department, declared, "The United States is not ready for a woman President – at least not a Democratic woman President." We can call Kamala Harris the "eternal optimist."

Kamala Harris gives clearest signal yet she will run for White House again in 2028

What King Donald the First is doing is nothing new. Over the past several years, Retrumplicans have redrawn many Congressional districts to dilute the voting power of minorities and Democrats and ensure the election of Retrumplicans – and Retrumplican Governors have approved many restrictions making voting more difficult for minorities, native Americans and the elderly.

Polymarket, a cryptocurrency-based betting site in Manhattan, shows no clear favorite to be the Democratic Presidential nominee in 2028. Twenty-one percent of bettors favor California Governor Gavin Newsom, 16% favor New York State Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and 7% favor former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Only 3% were betting on Harris – but that number quickly rose to 6% following her announcement today that she will not run for Governor of California.

Kamala Harris says she won't run for California Governor but did not rule out another bid for the Presidency
