Today's mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School is, according to the Gun Violence Archive, the 286th mass shooting so far this year in the United States. Mike Johnson, Retrumplican Speaker of the House, gave the usual predictable response: "Our prayers are with the children, families, civilians, law enforcement and all those impacted by this evil attack." Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said, "Don't just say 'thoughts and prayers' right now. These kids were literally praying!"
