About taxes and all, the rich pay like 90% of all of the income taxes in this country.
As far as helping out poor people, right now I am poor, but I have the right to fail. Thats how you learn it life, through failure.

Then you pick yourself back up and start again.

If the government is going to reward failure and punish success, then our country is truly lost to us conservatives.

One comment that tripp made about the dems knowing how to spend money better than repubs, got a good laugh out of me. Because our party use to be frugal, and the dems really do know how to spend and not save a dime.

Have a good night Bill, and take it easy!! I would say no worries, but I might get a defensive response. (kidding)

I should start a new thread over in politics, so we can try and keep the 2 seperate.
Ya, George was catering to the "Good Old Boys" and said screw the people. He was brought up rich and never had to live like a normal human being. Feeding the fat cats was his hobby. Look at Halliburton and similar instances like that. George forgot and never knew the American people.

He was great in some situations, but was a cotton-head in a lot of them. I think he is a sincere guy and is very likable, but just couldn't see clear. We need Sarah and Jindal in 2012 that can understand people. Bush never started at the bottom. That was probably one of his biggest faults. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and didn't understand the regular guy.

After a while he didn't care, because he got slammed repeatedly, over and over and stood there with that shit eating smirk on his face.

He was really a very poor representation of the Republican party, but he did a lot of things right, or at least with good intention. I am glad that I didn't have his job. Also, I think being President is for people that want gray hair fast.

But like you say because that is where it is headed.

The last thing that really bothers me is with nationalization the stock market will become dull and boring and stupid...like a mutual fund.

    So there it is...at 10:30 P.M. on a Wednesday...

I understand exactly where you are coming from, I own a small business, just a flatbed tow truck and I rebuild transmissions. We work hard and pay out the nose in taxes.

I actually put the truck in storage and closed my accounts, (planning on moving soon) but one of the main reasons I am getting out of Chicago is the taxes. People around the country don't understand what the libs are doing around here. We have the highest sales tax in the nation. Thats the answer, the libs around here have. Just raise taxes and, well where does that money go? The rich pay the taxes, and the poor get hosed even more!!

I will shut up now and get on topic!!

I agree with your view on the market, I have been thinking about how to play this bad joke, and what sector is going to make a move first.

If I see anything that makes sense I will definitely let you know.

All I see right now is a slow death, and a bad joke out there. I hope crude makes a nasty move north again this summer, just so I can make back some loses.

This is just the beginning.....you might as well put your money in CD's at a government approved rate. The stock market is done for if Obama gets his way, which he will.

    This is really depressing....

I think about McCain....the worst candidate of all times. Sarah had the crowds, not him. I am a Viet Nam veteran with a medal or two, and I appreciate what he went through, probably more than most, but he was so down on Sarah because she was so right on. He picked her and then couldn't stand the fact that she was more qualified. He hasn't had a great thing to say about her.

I don't care if she is right or wrong, but I would go through the gates of hell with her.

I will say this first then.

    WELCOME HOME!!!!
And I thank you for serving our country!!

I thought about that too. I cannot understand what happened between Palin/McCain.
I wish Jindal would run, but I don't think he is dumb enough to.

I tell you what Bill, I keep a close eye on global news, and here at home, is it just me, or is it going to get worse? The global economy just doesn't work. And I don't want protectionism, herbert/hoover (cough, cough) but we need to bring back our manufacturing base/jobs. And lower business taxes. 20/years ago we were fine, now we have the second highest business tax in the world.

    This is nuts!!!

I will leave you with the last comment, its getting past my beddy bye time. LOL!!

    Bill

thank you for your service to our country. I agree. We need to put her in a cage match with Hiliary..now that would be worth the price of admission.

BTW- thank you for analysis and opinions. I know that you are not in the business of selling securities...but us that are less knowledgable appreciate your insight.

Oh and another thing..you can be the referee!
