I can envision Trump renaming our nation as the United States of Donald Trump, rewriting the Constitution of the United States as the Constitution of Donald Trump and commanding all citizens to chant, "Heil, Trump!".

Dumb people vote for Trump. Unfortunately, there seem to be more dumb people now than there were in 2016 and 2020.

Trump once declared in a victory speech, 'We won with the poorly educated. I love the poorly educated.' Are they on his side in 2024?

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States says no one who has "engaged in insurrection or rebellion" or "given aid or comfort" to insurrections can run for public office. That should disqualify Donald Trump, who incited a deadly riot at the Capitol – but the Supreme Court, which Trump stacked with pro-Trump, right-wing justices, no longer cares about the Constitution. The justices do, however, care about Donald Trump. As for Trump, who also doesn't care about the Constitution, he wrote on Truth Social that the effort to keep him off the 2024 ballot is "just another trick being used by the Radical Left Communists, Marxists and Fascists to again steal an Election." Yes, he still insists the 2020 election was rigged and stolen.

Laffey, Mayor of Cranston, Rhode Island from 2003 to 2007, says "the GOP is dead" and "Trump should be in jail." He is quitting the Retrumplican party and re-registering as an Independent.

The Merriam-Webster ictionary ddefines "base" as "something (as a group of people) that reliably provides support (such as for a business or political candidate)." Donald Trump's base continues to support him. Another definition of "base" is "1. lacking or indicating the lack of higher qualities of mind or spirit; ignoble. 2. lacking higher values; degrading." That is a fitting description of Trump's blindly loyal supporters!

Many GOP anti-Trumpers are throwing in the towel
    Axios, Oct 6 2023

A growing number of anti-Trump Republicans are giving up – and giving in to the belief that nothing will stop him from winning the GOP's Presidential nomination. Despite Donald Trump's poor record in the last three elections, his increasingly violent rhetoric and four felony indictments, many anti-Trump Republicans quietly are stepping back from pushing for an alternative. They've concluded that the GOP's base can't quit Trump.

Many months before the 2016 Presidential election, Trump said the only way he would lose would be if "cheating goes on." He lost the popular vote but won in the Civil War-era relic known as the Electoral College. Many months before the 2020 Presidential election, Trump said the only way he would lose would be if the election was "rigged." To this day, he still insists – with zero evidence – that the election was rigged and stolen from him. And now.......

Trump is lying about another election being 'stolen' from him – the one still a year away
Trump’s last effort to undermine an election led to 140 injured police officers and five police deaths in the January 6, 2021 assault on the Capitol by his followers.

Kennedy believes vaccines cause autism, wi-fi causes cancer, chemicals in our water could turn children transgender and taking antidepressants is causing students to commit school shootings. We already had one President who believes in all kinds of bizarre conspiracy theories. We don't need another.

Every Retrumplican candidate who is not named Donald Trump may as well withdraw from the Presidential race. They need to accept the fact that Trump will be the party's nominee – even if he winds up convicted of felonies and sentenced to prison. The Cult of Donald Trump is alive and well.

Is there any evidence that candidates who spend millions of dollars on television ads can persuade people to vote for them? Yes. A study conducted by Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University showed that positive ads encourage more people to vote, while negative ads slightly discourage voting. Negative ads are more effective at swaying voters’ decisions.
