    Ohtani had surgery in October and will not be able to pitch until 2025. Next year he will be just a DH.

    The Dodgers have won their first 3 exhibition games. Ohtani did not play in any of them. They spent $700 million to get him and maybe they don't need him as much as they thought.

    Ohtani finally played today. He hit a two-run home run in his third at-bat. Dodgers have scored 47 runs in six games and are 5-0. One game was a tie and does not count in the standings.
