Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney today rejected Donald Trump’s effort to halt the criminal investigation he faces in Georgia, saying the former President’s allegations of prosecutorial misconduct are meritless. The ruling, which follows a similar decision from the Georgia Supreme Court in early July, ends a long-shot bid by Trump to derail Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s investigation into interference in the November 2020 Presidential election. Willis is expected to announce her charging decisions in the coming weeks.
