    Online Sound Quality

I was an XMRO subscriber for 5 years until recently, when Sirius forced all XMRO subscribers to the Sirius player.

The 3 channels that I listened to most (Virus, Raw Dog, Howard) all streamed at 129K on the XM side. Not so with Sirius. The same 3 only stream at 49K, which is a significant difference.

I have called and e-mailed Sirius, letting them know how unhappy I am, but no one seems to understand what I'm talking about.

Furthermore, Fantasy Sports Radio streams at 129K. Why is that acceptable, while the 2 biggest talk stations are at the lowest quality?

Sure, the argument might be that talk stations don't need to be at CD quality, but both the Virus and Howard channels do have musical guests, and music is a big part of both channels, whether it's an in studio performance or making fun of the top 10 songs of the week.

I just don't understand why XM was able to play these channels at top quality and Sirius doesn't.

Sadly, I think I'm the only one complaining, because Googling this issue reveals nothing.

As far as I know, Sirius is forcing an upgrade to 128k to all customers (at 2.99 per month) at the time of their next renewal period. The 64k feed is being retired.

Note: The everything package no longer mentions free access to 64k internet radio feed http://www.sirius.com/packages/best#everything
