Wireless Expertise, a UK-based wireless market research and consulting firm, expects rapid growth in the global mobile application marketplace from $4.66 billion in 2009 to $16.6 billion in 2013. Much of the growth is fueled by mobile phones currently outnumbering PCs around the world 4:1.
Because of their mobility, the opportunity for growth is substantially higher than fixed-line applications and solutions.
