I was thinking exactly along the same lines, but I didn't have Dumbo in there, but that sure helped the illustration.
Actually, it looks like it is starting back down at the close. I don't personally think those PR's are not enough to support that gain. I would guess that gain will disappear. That is just my opinion...that doesn't make it so.
Im currently on hold, waiting for the cc to begin.
My plan is to take notes into Microsoft Office, then just copy and paste them here for you guys afterward.
This is my first conference call tho, so cut me some slack if I lose track a bit.
AA is up at a post-march 9 high right now in AH trading @ $14.93.
Also reported good, and up is COST (costco) and looks like MON (monsanto) reported this morning bad, but slightly recovered in AH.
Thank goodness.
So what do you do after you check those AH trading reports?
Look at Futures trading, that's what.
I see ES, NQ and ZD (dow) up in fact, with the exception of oil, futures are green straight across the board.
I noted the other day, that SIRI had 3 closes below its 50 SMA - usually, you want to see a hammer on the line for it to bounce off, not closes below. 3 closes below is usually a sell signal for a lot of people.
Well, it tumbled today like it should have, and the other part of the catalyst I bet, was not holding on to these risky stocks prior to the above earnings reports (we'll that could also have been the catalyst for the 3 closes below).
Since AA was good, I'm hoping that we see the bottom reversal formation set up tomorrow. Open higher than today's candle, and close higher than the open.
Well that was boring. Here's the clif's notes.
ASFX Conference call 07Oct09
No questions allowed.
Will be a short call.
Address Rumors Portion:
Buyout from pharmaceutical company? Completely unfounded.
Mr Roth selling company for short turn gain? False. He has no power to do so.
Is company debt free? No. Financials for 2004-2007 on pinksheets. 2008 numbers to be released in very very near future.
O/S as low as 200mil? Untrue. Capital structure to be updated with 2008 numbers.
Speculation that Governator is directly involved or owns part of ASFX? Untrue. He owns no shares.
We want an orderly market at a fair price. We want to dispel pumping and bashing.
Speculation portion:
One week ago IR opened doors for investors and analysts to contact them for better transparency.
Outlook of company:
“I’ve never been more confident in our prospects than I am today.”
Additional Comments:
Rare opportunity for orderly market on fact, not fiction. Please call IR once or twice a month and verify facts.
It has sure been a good stock for you ASFXers. I hope that you kick some butt with it. As usual....Scotty says "No" to ASFX, so I have to watch from the sidelines.
A little follow-up from today:
I think QASP should shape up a little...if not, I would call it a great buying opportunity, buy some more or just sit on it. If I didn't buy all of that desert today, I would be buying QASP. If I can dump EVFL tomorrow at a two-sided commission loss, I will buy Qasp. I really like that CEO's style. Even his comments and language come across very intelligent and caring. At least that is what I glean from him.
Might give it a shot in the morning ... maybe. Need to look into this some more ... As you mentioned earlier and from what I could gather there were no MM's making these trades, I still can't get my brain around that ... somebody has to be making the transactions, but who? That's been puzzling me all day.
The other interesting bit is how it didn't trade like EVFL (Before the Jolly Green Giant broke the sewing needle) back and forth between 1 and 2, but 1 and 3 for the most part.
I can't also help but think that this may have been just a one day journey ... Maybe it will go 1 to 4 tomorrow (Insert dreaming guy icon here)
Bill, curious about Scotty ... Oh, never mind now I remember ... They still have the "Sell no buy" on it or is neither now?
Was talking with my brother, he has TD Ameritrade and said that he couldn't buy any of my picks, short of QASP.
This will give you the scoop how the trading happens:
http://hanson.gmu.edu/OnMarketMakerFunctions.pdf
After you read the above link, you will see why it can go from 1 to 3. It will be an automated process based on inventory (from buyers and sellers) until Market Makers sign a Form 211 and dive back into the stock.
Market Makers are a service....not a necessity.
I am going to finish reading that also. ;)
Yep, sell/no buy. Remember, these brokers are market makers also and trade piles of these stocks. They adjust the sell/no buy or no sell/no buy it is because of their personal inventory also. That is why one day you can buy and sell a stock, then the next day you can only no buy/ sell or another time no buy/ no sell.
All of this stuff is so intertwined. If I said anything wrong, anybody, please correct me. I will not be offended. ;)
good evening all...looks like I missed an interesting day, I was out golfing all day in 30 mph winds, I think it helped my game!!!
Surprised to see miggle up and running, I will be watching to see whether I should get out with a loss or just sit on it out of principle. After losing so much on it, what's another 690.00??
I'm in on behl at .06 and I refuse to avg down because though I think they are undervalued, I can't figure out why they have slipped to the point they are at now:confused:
great news for qasp today but no gain, still waiting for the aquisitions
bcle??? Saw the pr this morning before I left and only skimmed over it. It looked good but no help to the pps. THis one is starting to worry me because it's not making sense, there is just no interest in it but I'm in @ .025 and will take a loss on it if it hits .01...maybe
I like the "stocks for the day" you guys are putting out there to watch daily, it shakes things up a bit and though I am not playing yet, I hope to be soon, portfolio is down about 40% so I don't want to put more money on the table at this time. But it is fun to watch

Hey Geek,
I am only playing with the money I have in there and manipulating it around. I haven't put any cash in there in quite a while, so don't feel lonesome. I saw a PR for BCLE this morning also, but brushed it aside. I don't even know what it said, lol. (Not that I am pissed with them or anything ) What is a person supposed to do? Have a Corona and chill.
It sounds like the golf was fun. I used to golf a lot. Every day. Until I got so tired of it. My Dad used to make me go with him. We were on a par three over a water hazard and I told him that he was going to miss and his ball would go in the water. He told me, "No, it won't". I said, "Oh ya, it is going to go into the water". He said, "NO IT ISN"T!". I said, "Oh ya, it's going to go into the water." He yelled, "G D it! It's not going in the f'n water!" Well, he swung, it went into the water, I ducked behind his cart while he threw a nine iron at me and the club hit the cart and the shaft broke in half. We had one more hole to go to get to the club house. It is all blurry after that, but he didn't make me go anymore! ;)
Years later I started playing every now and then. I live in the middle of a country club now and don't even play. 13 years here and have never golfed here once. I love golf though.
I am throwing out some stocks. I ended up buying 50,000 shares of a gold and silver mines company in Nevada today. Tons of acres of sand. GSPG, I think...I haven't memorized it yet.
We shall see what happens. :)
That is the BBB. It is a club, like the Kiwanis, except it is financial. It has not a thing to do with the government or law. They just rate you and the customers. They do call and solicit people though. I get calls from them quite often. Undoubtedly they called Qasp and asked them to join.
They do arbitrate between customers and companies. I am sure that the arbitrators cost money.
Good information - They have a good report. That BBB sign goes a long ways.
