Time to work up an analysis....be back ;)
rich people have been getting hand outs forrver, bu its called a tax break if your rich or a business, if your a down and out individual its called a handout, pretty backwards if u ask me.
I only posted that there for you, ha ha :)
Just trying to get your blood flowing. A little intermission entertainment...
I got this today on a 1099G it says...A tax benifit for people who work..
If you worked in 2008 you could qualify for the earned income tax Credit (EITC) If so you'll owe less taxes, and you could get cash back...even if you don't owe any taxes....
worker raising 2 or more children under $38,646 you get $4824
worker rasing 1 or more children under $33,995 you get $2917
workers ages 25-64 no children under $12,880 you get $438
in the home! The new system already at work!
Well I guess when you get lemons you make GIN & LEMONAID!
Im in.......... Ok Bill whats the game plan for tomorrow!
Ok, here is what I have reaped:
First of all, I don't see any leadership in this market yet. There is nobody leading the way. Sure, the financials have been going up and pulling everything related with them to varying degrees, but it is still a two cycle market up and down at the same time which has caused it to go sideways.
In the last hour of trading I noticed that the sellers were getting a bit of a bite, but prior to that everything was sideways. Take for instance LVLT...it was at 1.17 the majority of the day. SIRI was the same....you have the idea...prior to that at the beginning of the day prices were going up for the first hour or two.
***** THE DOW IS GETTING CLOSE TO THE 50 DAY MA, THIS MAY GIVE TIME FOR ONE MORE BOUNCE FOR THE FINANCIALS ***** (Sorry for the caps)
The RSI on the DOW is showing a desire for an uptrend pointing at 45 and a possible breakout.
Once we get close to and hit 8500 then selling is going to start again. We will be over the 50 day MA
The resistance levels are: 8350 and 8500
The support levels are: 8000 and 7935
Tomorrow could be wild and maybe sideways with a gain again
---------------------------------------------------------------
The Nasdaq -
Resistance Levels - 1580, 1600, 1665
Support Levels - 1517 and 1500
We went over the 50 day MA of 1518 and this is a really bullish sign.
The RSI is @ 55 and this is really bullish. The RSI is pointing towards a breakout.
Selling is going to happen around 1600 or above.
(Just thinking out loud)
Comments Please:
Bill
I like Gin and Lemonaid.......
I believe tomorrow will be a lot like today....still going up some and then sideways...but like in the post before this one everything is pointing bullish. The market wants to change.
I am just going to ride with the wind while Tripps makes a ton of money in the financials. Good for him and his wise decisions with BAC :)
I just want to get a better handle on what the trend is.
Other than that there isn't much I can do. I am going to do my newest hobby (transferring money) so Monday I can do something if I decide to...A guy has to keep that weapon loaded.
Did you read my post about GTXO? If not, take a look at it a little ways back and tell me if you see what I see. Anybody that has GTXO is welcome to comment.
I sent an email to stockwatch.com and they sent me back an email saying that I was on the whitelist now. I am usually not used to that, I am usually on the S**tlist. They didn't come back and say that there is a new chat room for us, so I guess we should check. It would be fun to chat on there with us and other people.
Ya, he is a riot. He is one of those people that talks so much that you don't ever have to say anything. Makes for a real easy work day. You just have to give him a subject and off he will go. He is a really smart guy so it is usually really interesting, except when he talks about his wife.
I noticed the financials started coming down towards the end of the trading day... and continued down in AH... The last time I think it was in Nov. that the financials acted like today... they gave everything back the following day...
I think other then Sirius For some reason when ever the markets corrects back down Sirius always does its best...So i see at .13 and maybe staying there or settling at .12....but a bad day for financials which I will get back in.. I have no data to back it up...just my gut...Which if i didnt miss by 1 cent on monday...I would of been right on the money and out today and back in financials tomorrow.... That my guess.....we will see!!!!
good night, im beat, cya guys tommorow, hopefully the banks can keep gaining cause thats good for everything else.
Have a good night Tripps, Manana
I have 2000 shares of GTXO...I did read what you said...Ill give it sometime.
But when it stops moving it seems like it done!! It moves very slow...
I dont understand with my account I can transfer after I buy at the end of the day and by the time the account settles up in 3 days the money is always there...Thats Banc of America.
Anyway I dont mean to rain on your parade about tomorrow... but that my honest feeling! Which dosent really add up to very much! Good Night... Hey Bill how do you feel about the gov. moving the prisoners of war from Guantanmo to Colorado! I dont think that was a very smart move.... I enjoyed reading DickMorris.com Thanks
It moves slow because it is a small stock. I am going to play around with it for a while.
First about GTXO, there is not much I can do right now. I will hang for a while, because there isn't really much to lose. I want to give it a few days unless it starts sinking.
Prisoners to Colorado? We all ready have some of them in the Super Max, so what is a few more? They aren't getting out of there. What would you do with them? Or like to see done with them? And how would you like to see them tried?
I think the military should trie them....waterboard them when necessary....and keep them at GITMO. They shouldn't have OUR rights and courts and access to secure information.
Just MHO.
Thats what Im talking about.... They are gonna have it better then ever at that super max....next thing you know they will get a jailhouse lawyer and file petitions for this and that then and plant seeds in the system... They should leave them where they found them!
Yes, that is a real problem. They start filing writs and petitions and the seeds that you just mentioned. It is nothing but uphill for them, other than the fact that they cannot communicate with each other. At GITMO they get 2 hours of play together now. At the supermax they will get 1 hour a day by themselves. I see that the ACLU is bitching because they say it will be worse torture at the Supermax. I think the ACLU is filing suit for that purpose.
Also at GITMO they can talk to each other from cell to cell. At the Supermax those days are over. The ACLU doesn't want this more intense torture to happen.
The dems and reps have always been way lopsided. The Reps want huge tax breaks for the rich and business owners, and the Dems always want the tax breaks for the poor. The problem is, anyone who is in the middle gets screwed. Just like you said swarn, everyone gets the help except those that are actually working (and struggling) to better themselves and their families.
Thats why I see myself more as an independant. Help the less fortunate, but regulate it because there is way too much abuse of the system. Tax the rich because they are making all the damn money. Help out those in the middle classes who are struggling and really trying to make a difference.
I really wish I had gotten into BAC when it hit 5.10. I put in a trade for the next day at the same close price, but after and pre market the thing jsut exploded and never had the chance. Oh well... SIRI is showing some promise. Feb is around the corner and we will find out about earnings and debt shortly... Still watching for a good entry into all the other stocks. Today opened great and then lost steam. I know that stimulus bill will make the markets jump tomorrow morning, but will they be able to hold?
I am getting to old for this crap. I don't have that many elections left in me. Think about it. One every four years.
I only have have one or two dogs left in my life, this is my last wife, I am responsible, I own three businesses (small ones) and I am a conservative through and through.
I am defending Bush, he f**ked up big time. I do believe in small government, just want to be left alone and exercise my personal freedoms. I do NOT need a Nanny government. Jindal and Palin 2012.
I belong to teamsarah.org and will go down dying for Sarah.
I respect Tripp's opinions, as a liberal, because that is our entitlement as Americans to make our own choices and our right to speak about it. He has good points and I am willing to listen, but I know where my heart is - I am an investor (chum to most), but I am doing my best. That is what matters to me here, but it's fun to throw it out.
But like you say, Dread, the next four years is an Obamanation and we will regret it, IMHO, when Nanny insists on taking care of our poor little wounds to make it more comforting. I don't need Nanna and I don't want her in my life. Protect the shores and collect minimal taxes.
This is how I see it. 2009 will be a bandaid. Things will look pretty swell. 2010 we will have HYPER-inflation. 2011 we will be digging out again and it will be worse because that is when taxes will raise to help fend off the economic condition. Then this country is going to fall on its ass.
We will be worse off than today. If I needed cough syrup from Nanny I would ask for it. I don't need it administered to me against my free will.
eh?
Read my prediction for tomorrow....I think it is spot on. May not happen, but it is techno to the max.
As far as the stimulus bill making hay, I wonder, because the market is not following Obama so far. It has really ignored him. Geithner is the only one that has got any attention. The market has reacted in an ignoring way to Obama so far. I don't see much change tomorrow. Same pattern. Let's put it this way. If there is a similar market tomorrow, then wallstreet is just ignoring Obama. If it jumps up on a rally, then there might be some salt to it. Remember, the market doesn't like to be taken care of.
We shall see. You are a really smart person, Newman, so let's let it shake out and we should have a pretty good picture by the end of the day.
I based my prediction above by serious number crunching and trends. I am anxious to see the outcome.
My respect and regards,
Bill
I was reading some of tripps posts tonight, and I can go on the offensive, but I respect his views. And I won't lower myself to the bickering level.
Bush really pissed me off with all the spending he did, I am not happy with him at all, but he tried, and did what he felt was the right thing.
About taxes and all, the rich pay like 90% of all of the income taxes in this country.
As far as helping out poor people, right now I am poor, but I have the right to fail. Thats how you learn it life, through failure.
Then you pick yourself back up and start again.
If the government is going to reward failure and punish success, then our country is truly lost to us conservatives.
One comment that tripp made about the dems knowing how to spend money better than repubs, got a good laugh out of me. Because our party use to be frugal, and the dems really do know how to spend and not save a dime.
Have a good night Bill, and take it easy!! I would say no worries, but I might get a defensive response. :) (kidding)
I should start a new thread over in politics, so we can try and keep the 2 seperate.
