Those who say that insurance companies dont make a lot of money and will be driven out of business if a public option is passed will have a chance to test
their theories. It will take some years to play itself out, but i predict if they pass the opt-out public option system they are talking about today, the insurance companies will hardly abandon the field of play. I for one am not worried about their profits. I am more worried about the thousands of people who die every year from lack of health care and the many businesses who are under crippling pressure from rising costs.
