SIRI was trying to close green, but was brought down on the final ticks...

    Hope something good happens

I hope something good happens. This stock is like a herpe in my portfolio that won't go away.

I am still laughing about what Tripping said, "Bottom of the 9th, 2 outs and Mel's at bat". That is hilarious.

ALK Technologies is offering PNDs for enterprise markets — and doing well with its PC Miler. ALK, which recently celebrated its 30th year in the industry, said that sales are way up after a recent XM Satellite Radio promotion
Anyone know what this means? What promotion and does "way up" with this company hold any significance?

    thanks

    (pnd is personal navigation device)

    Siriusowner,

    Which part of the article?

You were arguing for the near term bankruptcy scenario a few weeks ago.....saying that their cash burn rate was too high.

This one: Sirius XM will report its first two complete quarters as a merged public company. If it's still on track to achieve operating free cash flow, upticks may happen.

This one: Either way, these next four months will dictate the gamble that owning Sirius XM shares has become.

And lately, something similar to this one: Fate may be kind here. The moment it becomes clear that Sirius isn't going to file for bankruptcy protection in response to next month's tollbooth, speculators may start to file in. There are certainly plenty of other catalysts that may warm investors over the next four months.

    What happens with Obama?

Apple and financials are the next issue this morning, even though it is big, it might get shrugged off a little later in the day. I look for a relatively tight morning, even with some loses, but as the day progresses it "might" get a whole lot better.

Didn't we just give the financials 350 BILLION dollars? Nobody knows where it went....totally amazing! I think I will apply for some for my business..heck ya, I deserve it if Larry Flint does, I mean what the hay? It is business welfare and I want mine and let the taxpayers pay for it....pretty pathetic, eh?

This is why I love investors, because they are their own people and are independent. They are people willing to take a risk and make something out of themselves.

It is so important, to me, to be my own man and I know that you feel the same.

Now when B.O. gets in what will happen? I would love to hear opinions on this, because I honestly don't have a clue.

Anyway, have a great day, investors, and may your aim be true!

Markets are closed on Monday (the end of my 30 day tax-loss window, BTW. I just wish I could get back in tomorrow morning instead of having to wait).
Tuesday is innauguration day. I think you see a nice run-up Tuesday and Wednesday. What we will be seeing is historic, and I think the markets will respond positively. I don't think all the bad news in the world could crush the American Dream on Tuesday. By Friday, it will give up those gains however. (speaking of the market in general, not Sirius)
