    MC5, short for "Motor City Five," formed in 1963 in the Detroit suburb of Lincoln Park. They released two studio albums, six live albums and nine singles. Their biggest hit was Kick Out The Jams in 1969. Guitarist Wayne Kramer died in February 2024. Johnson was the last surviving original member.
