What’s the purpose of this movie, other than to make the producers a bundle? I mean $15.99… why is it not made available free, to all registered Sirius-Xm investors. I would buy one, if you could assure me the head of the SEC would review it first!
because things cost money to get done, im sure it wasnt free to make this movie. im also sure they probably wont make a killing and will just break even.
Perhaps you would you prefer a movie by Sirius about Sirius? That would be very objective and I’m sure you could get it for free.
I am in for a novelty at best. “Thanks for the memories”.
Because this movie documents and proves that Sirius management is part of the manipulation to privatize the company. Steal it away from the shareholders for pennies on the dollar.
What’s the movie about ? I watched the trailer but, what’s the movie about ? I mean, what’s the plot ?
It looks exciting to me! I’m glad they made this movie the word needs to get out. I wish it was financed and aired on Frontline. I also wished it would have come out sooner. Not just because I’m a Sirius fan and stockholder but because the timing would even be better. If this story goes where I assume the trailer is taking me. Then this is not just about Sirius Xm it’s about the market and why the confidence in the market is waning. This really would help show the serious issues of the legal manipulators of Wallstreet. The rules need to change. People have invested their life’s work so they can someday retire or send their kids to college and so on. To let any type of manipulation of the market by the inner circle be condoned (or turn a blind eye for self serving purposes) by our legislators for the benefit of a few with out penalty is to say that capitalism doesn’t work. It started in Washington D.C. and can only be ended in Washington D.C. For the people by the people, I don’t think so! Follow the $ signs. It just takes to much damn money to run for any office and it’s out of control. If I want to be a congressman I need your vote but to get your vote I need money, lots of money. I’m going to have to kiss the ass of the big lobbyists to get it period. So I get their money to campaign to get your vote. If I get elected who am I beholding too, you? I’ll get back to you; I have to go meet someone in the lobby. Yep, I’m buying a DVD but I wish it could be circulated on a larger scale.
With that being said I hope this movie is not to take advantage of the fact that there are millions of Sirius Xm investors who will plunk down $15.95 to see & hear what we want (fluff). I hope this movie is done in a non-Hollywood fashion and more of a fact exposing documentary. I can only hope that is the case. If this movie targets Sirius Xm because it is such a widely held stock and to use it’s storey as the catalyst to show what’s wrong w/ Wallstreet in general then I think they (the producers) do more good for more people. If the movie does a good job of communicating that this is just one storey of many that shows the flawed ways of Wallstreet then is will serve the makers of this movie well too. Tunnel vision or a self serving movie to just what’s going on with Sirius Xm would be short sighted. If this movie can help expose as a whole what needs to be fixed then it helps all average investors. If that is the case then this movie can help send out a message for Washington to clean up the markets which in turn will bring more people back into the market which raises all boats including Sirius Xm.
Sorry for using “storey I meant story” thought I was constructing a home not an opinion.
a couple of questions … is the movie going to introduce any new information, or is it just a video representation of information i already know from my own DD, and the some of the articles published here? how long is the movie/documentary? Who is involved with the financing of the movie?
is free shipping offer applicable also to hawaii?
just another person trying to make money by riding the Sirius/XM coat tails. We all know what happened with Sirius. If the producers of the video really wanted to get their agenda out they would have made it available for free through some sponsers.
im a sirius shareholder and subscriber, and when i watch this trailer (which by the way seemed very poorly cut) i get this overwhelming feeling of what the hell? this is a stock. no one has been killed, no one is starving over this, the sky isnt falling. keep in mind i have lost money with this stock and just finally broke even.
now i understand the activities that have been going on behind closed doors, but a movie about sirius xm stock? maybe i think there are bigger problems in the world than sirius stock. also, if there was a movie made about something that bothered me, i wouldnt mind spending 16 bucks on it knowing that some or all of that would be going to a cause.
no disrespect meant, and i hope no one took it that way. this is my opinion and was spurred by a conversation i had with a friend and fellow sirius shareholder.
Why is it that numbers on shares shorted has to wait for weeks to be reported and shares sold is immediate? Wouldn’t it be more fair if both were equally reported? Any have an answer?
