Maryland Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen said Trump's proposal to "take over" Gaza and remove all the Palestinians is "insane" and is just "ethnic cleansing by another name."

Donald Trump has often expressed admiration for Hitler, Putin, Xi Jinping, Viktor Orban, Kim Jong Un, Mohammed bin Salman and other dictators – and now he is one. Before becoming King, Trump insisted he didn't know anything about Project 2025. Of course he was lying.

Project 2025 is a federal policy agenda authored by former Trump administration officials. Their 900-page "Mandate For Leadership" manual calls for a radical restructuring of the federal government to give the executive branch – in other words, King Donald the First – unlimited power to impose right-wing conservative values and do away with abortion, LGBTQ rights, immigrants' rights, racial equity and stem cell research, roll back clean-air and clean-water regulations and fire federal workers and replace them with loyalists who will do Trump's bidding without question. Today our democracy is one step closer to its demise.

He repeated the claim in a March 2024 Fox News Channel interview. (Adolf Hitler, whom Trump has said he admires, expressed a similar opinion about immigrants in his 1925 manifesto Mein Kampf.) At a March 2024 rally in Ohio, Trump called immigrants "animals" and said, "I don’t know if you call them people, in some cases. They’re not people, in my opinion." King Donald the First is seeking to deport them all and is upset that his "Make America white again" purge is not progressing as fast as he would like.

President Donald Trump today dismissed Colleen Shogan, the Archivist of the United States. The national archivist is responsible for overseeing government records and heads the National Archives, an agency Trump has repeatedly criticized since it alerted the Justice Department to his misandling of classified documents in early 2022. The FBI eventually searched Trump's Florida home and he faced a federal indictment in that case but it was dropped after his 2024 election win.

In a social media post, Trump said he will immediately terminate multiple individuals from the Kennedy Center's board of trustees, including its chairman, "who do not share our Vision for a Golden Age in Arts and Culture. We will soon announce a new Board, with an amazing Chairman, DONALD J. TRUMP!"

Russell Vought, acting director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, has ordered staffers at the agency to stop all work. In an email Saturday night, he also directed employees not to start or continue investigations, to stop existing investigations, not to approve or issue any proposed rules or guidance and not to issue any public communications. The directive comes after Vought, who was confirmed to lead the Office of Management & Budget this week, wrote on X that he cut off new funding to the agency responsible for protecting American consumers.
