    Donald Trump indicted yet again!

After being indicted for the third time, the orange-skinned parrot continues to squawk, "Hoax! Witch hunt! Election interference! I did nothing wrong! Hoax! Witch hunt! Election interference! I did nothing wrong! Awwwkkk!!!"

Trump charged by Justice Department for efforts to overturn his 2020 Presidential election loss
NBC San Diego, Aug 1 2023

Donald Trump was indicted today on four felony counts that accuse him of working to overturn the results of the 2020 Presidential election in the run-up to the violent riot by his supporters at the United States Capitol.

Today’s criminal case, with charges including conspiring to defraud the United States government that he once led, was especially stunning in its allegations that a former President assaulted the underpinnings of democracy in a frantic and ultimately failed effort to cling to power. It accuses him of repeatedly lying about the election results, turning aside repeated overtures from some aides to tell the truth but conspiring with others to try to improperly change vote totals in his favor. It says that on the day of the January 6, 2021, riot, he attempted to “exploit” the chaos by pushing to delay the certification of the election results even after the building was cleared of violent protesters.

The indictment, the third criminal case brought against the former President as he seeks to reclaim the White House in 2024, follows a long-running federal investigation into schemes by Trump and his allies to subvert the peaceful transfer of power and keep him in office despite a decisive loss to Joe Biden.

Trump has been charged with four counts: Conspiracy to defraud the United States "by using dishonesty, fraud and deceit to obstruct the nation’s process of collecting, counting, and certifying the results of the Presidential election"; Conspiracy to impede the January 6 Congressional proceeding at which the collected results of the Presidential election are counted and certified; Conspiracy against the right to vote and to have that vote counted; Obstruction of, and attempt to obstruct and impede, the certification of the electoral vote.

I thought Trump would also be indicted for inciting the riot but I guess the DOJ figured that would be too hard to prove.

In a statement, Trump said the indictment is an attempt by the Biden administration to interfere in the 2024 Presidential election. He called the four felony charges "fake" and said they are "reminiscent of Nazi Germany in the 1930s, the former Soviet Union and other authoritarian, dictatorial regimes.” Yes, deranged, demented, delusional Donald decided to play the Nazi card.

Georgia Representative and Retrumplican wackjob Marjorie Taylor Greene, who, same as Donald Trump himself, believes Trump has never done anything wrong, issued this statement:

"Innocent individuals, including former President Donald J. Trump, are being unjustly targeted by a Department of Injustice and an FBI transformed into political hitmen, acting at the behest of the sitting President. Special Counsel Jack Smith has abused his power, using his office to persecute President Trump, his aides and ultimately the American people. These actions are undoubtedly politically motivated, with clear intentions of interfering with the upcoming 2024 election."

    Cry me a river, Marjorie!

Chutkan, born in Kingston, Jamaica, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University in 1983 and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1987.

Judge assigned to Trump case previously said ‘the country is watching to see what the consequences are’ for January 6
    CNN, Aug 2 2023 12:09 AM EDT

District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who has been assigned to preside over former President Donald Trump’s criminal case in Washington DC, has repeatedly spoken out in very strong terms against the efforts to overturn the election and disrupt the transfer of power. Chutkan has served as a federal judge since she was appointed by Barack Obama in 2014 and confirmed by the Senate in a 95-0 vote.

Chutkan has presided over dozens of criminal cases against January 6 rioters. At a sentencing hearing on October 4, 2021, she acknowledged the nationwide attention on the Capitol riot cases. "The country is watching to see what the consequences are for something that has not ever happened before," Chutkan said, adding that the rioters "soiled and defaced the halls of the Capitol and showed their contempt for the rule of law." At a sentencing hearing in January 2022, she said the pro-Trump insurrection was "a violent attempted overthrow of the government and it almost succeeded.”

Trump's sleazy lawyers suggest the trial should be moved from DC to West Virginia, where the judge and jury are more likely to be pro-Trump. If you're truly innocent as you claim to be, Donald, it shouldn't matter where the trial is held.

In an editorial today, The Wall Street Journal called Trump's actions and rhetoric on January 6 2021 "deceitful and destructive" but questioned whether his conduct amounted to criminal behavior. "There is no evidence tying Trump to the Oath Keepers or Proud Boys who planned to, and did, breach the U.S. Capitol that day." "No evidence"? Really? How about ordering them to "march to the Capitol and fight like hell" to "stop the steal"?

Jack Smith's latest Trump indictment was built from Republican witness testimony
    Yahoo News, Aug 2 2023 3:04 PM

On Tuesday, special counsel Jack Smith unsealed his latest criminal indictment of Donald Trump and, like the first indictment he filed against the former President, over his handling of classified documents, it was made up of hundreds of hours of grand jury testimony given by Republican witnesses, many of them former members of Trump's administration.

Trump and his political allies have attacked the indictment as being politically motivated. But, as with the House January 6 committee's final report on the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, Tuesday's indictment is notable in that the evidence of criminal activity comes almost exclusively from Republicans sympathetic to Trump who testified under oath, including former Vice President Mike Pence, Former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows, former White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino, former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

Retrumplicans don't dare criticize Trump for his many crimes. They fear his wrath. Anyway, they don't have time. They're too busy condemning Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Kamala Harris, Jack Smith, Merrick Garland, Fani Willis, Tanya Chuktan, Gavin Newsom, Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi and others.

Republicans try to discredit judge in Trump's January 6 case – except they all voted for her
U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan has "a reputation for being far-left," argued Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who helped to unanimously confirm her in 2014.

When accused of wrongdoing, deranged, demented, delusional Donald's standard tactic is to deny, deceive, deflect, distract, distort, disparage and discredit: "It's a hoax! A witch hunt! Election interference! I have done nothing wrong! It's Biden's fault! The Department of Justice is weaponized against me!" At today's arraignment, Trump of course pleaded "not guilty."

Trump was upset because the judge kept calling him Mr. Trump instead of President Trump. He is not the president anymore.
