Two days ago a reporter asked Trump if he would make a plea deal in Georgia. He said, "Never. I've done nothing wrong." And then he called the reporter a "wise guy."

Trump never admits to doing anything wrong – but he's been hit with four indictments and charged with 91 crimes! Today's indictment charges Trump and 18 others with joining a conspiracy "to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump" after refusing "to accept that Trump lost" the 2020 Presidential election.

Former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson believes Trump should drop out of the Presidential race. Tonight he wrote on X, "Over a year ago, I said Donald Trump’s actions disqualified him from ever serving as President again. Those words are more true today than ever before."

And then there is Ohio Retrumplican Representative Jim Jordan, who heads the House Judiciary Committee and who has sold his soul to Donald Trump and worships him, protects him and defends him at all costs. Jordan wrote on X, "Today’s indictment is just the latest political attack in the Democrats’ WITCH HUNT against President Trump. He did nothing wrong!" Wow. He sounds just like Trump!

Congress passed the Racketeer Influenced & Corrupt Organizations Act in 1970 and President Nixon signed it into law. In Georgia, a conviction for violating the RICO Act carries a prison sentence of five to 20 years. Yesterday's indictment charged Trump, Giuliani, Meadows and 16 others with constituting "a criminal organization whose members and associates engaged in various related criminal activities including, but not limited to, false statements and writings, impersonating a public officer, forgery, filing false documents, influencing witnesses, computer theft, computer trespass, computer invasion of privacy, conspiracy to defraud the state, acts involving theft, and perjury."

But don't forget, Trump and his Retrumplican defenders insist he did nothing wrong!

Retrumplicans continue to protect and defend Donald Trump and insist he's done nothing wrong – but posters on social media see things differently.

Critics mark Donald Trump's latest indictment in most brutally mocking ways
"Donald Trump becomes only the fourth actor from Home Alone 2 to be indicted, after Donald Trump, Donald Trump and Donald Trump."

Donald Trump continues to insist – with zero evidence – that the 2020 Presidential election was rigged and stolen. Today he wrote on Truth Social, "A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia is almost complete & will be presented by me at a major News Conference at 11:00 A.M. next Monday in Bedminster, New Jersey. Based on the results of this CONCLUSIVE Report, all charges should be dropped against me & others. There will be a complete EXONERATION! They never went after those that Rigged the Election. They only went after those that fought to find the RIGGERS!"

I'm sure if we asked Trump who wrote this "conclusive" and "irrefutable" report, he would refuse to answer. If he were honest, he would admit, "I made it up."

How valid are attorney Jonathan Turley's opinions in this essay? Well, keep in mind he is a Libertarian, he opposed Donald Trump's impeachments, he opposed the Affordable Care Act and he is a frequent contributor to Fox News.

Will Trump go to prison? Why jail time is unlikely for the former President.
Memes of a jailed Trump continue to be the rage online. However, a review of the legal proceedings ahead is a buzzkill for the lock-him-up crowd.

Two days ago, the capital-letter-obsessed former President wrote on Truth Social that he would hold a news conference on August 21 and provide "A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia. All charges should be dropped against me & others. There will be a complete EXONERATION!"

Today, Trump canceled the news conference. On Truth Social. he explained why it is no longer necessary: "Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this Irrefutable and Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud and Irregularities in Legal Filings. as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment by a publicity and campaign finance seeking D.A. who, sadly, presides over a record breaking Murder & Violent Crime area, Atlanta."

What is "irrefutable" is that the 2020 Presidential election was not rigged or stolen. Biden won. Trump lost.

Jon Cooper, who worked on the Presidential campaigns of Barack Obama and Joe Biden and is the Democratic majority leader of the Suffolk County Legislature in New York, asked, "Is Trump a fraud – or a coward?" My answer, Jon, is: both.

Moore is a typical Retrumplican. He has sold his sold to Donald Trump and worships him, protects him and defends him at all costs. How dare anyone try to hold Trump accountable for his many crimes! Trump is above the law and must remain above the law!

Donald Trump's sleazy lawyers are doing exactly what he is paying them to do: insist Trump has done nothing wrong and go after everybody who attempts to hold Trump accountable for his many crimes.
