Steve Wynn, a former hotel/casino operator who made huge donations to Donald Trump's three Presidential campaigns, wanted the Supreme Court to revisit the 1964 New York Times vs Sullivan case. Wynn, who in 2019 resigned as finance chairman of the Republican National Committee over allegations of sexual misconduct, wanted to be able to sue news outlets for libel and not have to prove "actual malice." The Supreme Court chose to not hear his challenge. The Court's decision will surely anger King Donald the First, who does not believe in freedom of speech and freedom of the press, denounces many newspapers and news channels as "fake news" and "the enemy of the American people" and has said it should be "illegal" for news outlets to criticize him.
