    Thumbs up Outlaw Country

Outlaw Country used to be one of my favorite stations, and, even though I've kind of moved on to Lithium, it's still one of the most underrated stations imo. I loved the variety of artists (Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Steve Earle, John Prine, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Todd Snider, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Presely, hell, I've even heard them play The Beatles on occasion). I know it gets a lot of criticism for its loose definition of what constitutes "outlaw" country, but that's why I enjoy it so much: you never know what to expect.

Oh, and the shows: Hardcore Troubador Radio, Electric Rodeo, The Big Ass Happy Family Jubilee, The Buddy & Jim Show....I could go on and on.

I listen once in a while. I discovered many new artists that I like, such as the Cactus Blossoms but yes they play a lot of artists who are not outlaw country, for example Judy Collins. I even heard a song by the Monkees.

Here is a small sample of what’s played on SiriusXM 60, Outlaw Country. Chart positions are from the Billboard country chart. Non-charting singles are denoted by dashes. Maggie’s Song is Chris Stapleton’s tribute to the “fuzzy black pup” he and his wife found abandoned in 2005 in a shopping cart in a parking lot. They rescued her and named her Maggie. She died in 2019. Here is the song:

Thank you for posting that, but how can anyone consider Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees to be outlaw country???
