Retrumplicans no longer care what the voters want. Retrumplicans no longer care about the will of the people. Retrumplicans care only about Donald Trump and staying in power. They are doing everything they can to rig future elections in favor of Retrumplicans.

The GOP war on voting just took a new turn
    Raw Story, Sep 3 2022

Republicans are not just fighting to limit access to the ballot box but are increasing battling what questions can even appear on ballots. "Hundreds of thousands of people signed petitions this year backing proposed ballot initiatives to expand voting access, ensure abortion rights and legalize recreational marijuana in Arizona, Arkansas and Michigan," the Associated Press reported. "Yet voters might not get a say because Republican officials or judges have blocked the proposals from the November elections, citing flawed wording, procedural shortcomings or insufficient petition signatures." GOP lawmakers in both Arizona and Arkansas are attempting to amend their constitutions to make it harder put citizen initiatives on the ballot.

Gerrymandering is the practice of drawing the boundaries of electoral districts in a way that gives one political party an undue advantage. In 2019, the Supreme Court – which Donald Trump packed with pro-Trump loyalists – ruled (in Common Cause v. Rucho) that partisan gerrymandering can not be challenged in federal court. Following the 2020 census, Retrumplican legislatures began redrawing districts to dilute the voting power of Democrats. Four Trump associates – who believe Trump's Big Lie of a rigged, stolen election – are hopeful the Supreme Court will bless their party's efforts to rig future elections in favor of Retrumplicans.

Election lie supporters ask Supreme Court to bless radical election changes
Lawyer John Eastman, Trump aides Stephen Miller and Mark Meadows and insurrection backer Mike Flynn want the court to OK partisan gerrymandering.

Two Retrumplicans claimed Delaware's vote-by-mail law is unconstitutional – and a pro-Trump judge agreed with them. The Retrumplican war on voting rights continues.

Now that Donald Trump has stacked the Supreme Court with right-wing, pro-Trump Justices, it looks increasingly likely that Retrumplicans will soon be able to rig – and steal – every future election by redrawing Congressional districts to dilute the voting power of minorities.

Deranged, demented, delusional Donald insists mail-in ballots are "fraught with corruption." That isn't true. He insists we will never have an "honest election" unless mail-in ballots are banned. That isn't true. And where did Trump post these untruths? On his Truth Social site. "Truth Social." Talk about a misnomer!

Trump tells governors to ban mail-in ballots (just like the kind he has used) and only allow only paper-ballot voting on a single day.

Retrumplicans continue to do everything they can to rig future elections in favor of Retrumplicans. They don't care about democracy. Their motto is: "Win at all costs."

The GOP is making it harder for college students to vote
    Bloomberg, Apr 15 2023 4:00 AM

Republican lawmakers are making it harder for students to cast ballots where they attend school, after the GOP suffered stinging recent electoral losses largely due to a historic surge in turnout from younger voters backing Democrats. A new law in Idaho specifically bars the use of student identification cards to vote, while a change in Ohio law means students will no longer be able to use tuition or college housing receipts as a form of voter ID, long a popular option for students without state driver’s licenses.

Similar legislation has been introduced in at least 11 other states this year, including the Presidential battlegrounds of Pennsylvania and Nevada. Other bills have also targeted student voters, such as one in Texas that would bar college campuses from serving as polling places.

North Carolina's Retrumplican-majority Supreme Court just upheld Retrumplicans' gerrymandering and voter photo ID mandate, ensuring that future elections will be rigged in favor of Retrumplicans.

It was a narrow ruling, 5-4, but the Supreme Court ruled that a Retrumplican-drawn electoral map in Alabama, a state where 27% of the population is black, created six districts with a white majority and only one district with a black majority and therefore violates the 1965 Civil Rights Act by diluting the voting power of blacks. Unfortunately, Retrumplicans have gotten away with redrawing districts in many other states (including North Carolina) in order to rig future elections in favor of white Retrumplicans.

Retrumplicans seek to rig future elections in favor of Retrumplicans. They have been reducing the number of polling places, placing restrictions on vote-by-mail and voter registration drives and re-drawing Congressional districts to dilute the voting power of blacks. Retrumplicans don't care if their legislation violates the Constitution. Fortunately, there are judges who do care.

Retrumplicans don't care what the law says. Retrumplicans don't care what the Constitution says. Retrumplicans don't care what the Supreme Court says. Retrumplicans are determined to rig elections in favor of Retrumplicans.
