Donald Trump, who calls himself a "shrewd businessman" and who continues to insist he won the 2020 Presidential election "in a landslide," greatly increased his wealth by encouraging his blindly loyal followers to come to the Capitol to "fight like hell" and "stop the steal." It may not have been his intent – but it happened nonetheless.

Donald Trump cashed in on January 6 riot furor, records show
    HuffPost, Nov 5 2021 10:10 PM

Former President Donald Trump has been accused of inciting the January 6 riot at the US Capitol and it appears he also profited from it, according to records examined by Forbes magazine. As Trump touted the coming gathering of his supporters – at one point last December tweeting: “Big protest in DC on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!” – the price of the least expensive rooms in his Washington hotel zoomed from $476 to $1,999. A week later, prices hit $3,600 – and eventually reached an astonishing $8,000 on January 6. In-room dining also hit record highs.

Guests included Trump allies and insiders working to overturn his 2020 election loss from a nearby "war room" at the Willard hotel, Trump’s sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Donald Trump is hoping his fellow Retrumplicans will defy the subpoenas and refuse to testify. So far, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is the only subpoenaed witness who is refusing to cooperate.

Will the House committee subpoena Donald Trump? And, if so, will it do any good? Trump will take every legal action to ensure he won't have to testify – and if he is unsuccessful and winds up having to testify, he will take an oath to tell the truth.....and then lie about everything.

But.....but.....Retrumplicans have been busy downplaying the riot and insisting it was just a "normal tourist visit."

Donald Trump is vehemently opposed to Americans learning the truth about the deadly, Trump-incited Capitol riot. He and his sleazy lawyers plan to appeal the judge's decision – all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.

This blindly loyal Trump supporter was the first rioter to plead guilty to a charge of assault and his prison sentence is the lengthiest one imposed – so far.

Blindly loyal Trump supporter and former adviser Steve Bannon ignored a subpoena. He refused to appear for a deposition and refused to provide.documents. He's now been indicted for contempt of Congress. Mark Meadows, former chief of staff and another blindly loyal Trump supporter, is also ignoring a subpoena. He could be the next to be indicted.

Another blindly loyal Trump supporter who believed The Big Lie about a "stolen election" and obeyed his idol's command to march to the Capitol and "fight like Hell" is going to prison – but only for 30 days.

Here is another blindly loyal Trump supporter who believed The Big Lie about a "stolen election" and obeyed his idol's command to march to the Capitol and "fight like hell." He was originally indicted on 17 counts. He pleaded guilty to two. Lock him up! Lock him up!

Bannon is following the Trumpworld playbook: After committing federal crimes and being indicted, do not plead guilty to anything. After all, he has sold his soul to Donald Trump and has to protect and defend Trump at all costs.
