Hundreds of blindly loyal Trump supporters who believed the BIg Lie that the 2020 election was "rigged " and "stolen" were willing to fight for him and, if necessary, to die for him. I wonder if any of them who took part in the riot realized they would eventually wind up going to prison for him.

Donald Trump tries to avoid responsibility for his actions by claiming "Presidential immunity." What Trump is truly guilty of is "Presidential lunacy," "Presidential stupidity" and "Presidential idiocy."

Trump fails to persuade judge to throw out January 6 civil suit
    Yahoo News, Jan 26 2023 4:15 PM

Former President Donald Trump has failed to persuade a judge to throw out a civil lawsuit brought by Capitol Police officers over injuries they suffered during the January 6 Capitol riot. US District Judge Amit Mehta rejected Trump’s claim that Presidential immunity protected him from liability for actions that were within his official duties. During the attack, 140 police officers were assaulted and rioters caused more than $2 million in property damage.

In a March 2021 interview with Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, Donald Trump spoke of the crowd who had gathered for his "March to the Capitol and fight like hell" speech: "It was a loving crowd. There was a lot of love. I’ve heard that from everybody. Many, many people have told me that was a loving crowd." So far, 187 of those "loving" rioters have been sentenced to prison."

When Donald Trump tried to pressure Mike Pence into refusing to certify Joe Biden as President. Pence said he would do his Constitutional duty. In a phone call On January 1, 2021, Trump told Pence, "You’re too honest. Hundreds of thousands are gonna hate your guts. People are gonna think you’re stupid." During the deadly, Trump-incited Capitol insurrection, rioters erected a gallows and chanted, "Hang Mike Pence! Hang Mike Pence!" If they had been able to capture him, they likely would have killed him. And yet, Pence is afraid of incurring Trump's wrath by testifying against him. How sad. And how pathetic.

Ivanka and Jared were "advisers" to Donald Trump – but in name only. Trump has always done whatever he wants. He seldom takes advice from anyone.

"Teflon Don" has always managed to avoid accountability and responsibility for his actions, even when they violate the law, violate the Constitution and violate the Presidential oath of office. Maybe his luck is finally running out.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has sold his soul to Donald Trump and worships him, supports him, protects him and defends him at all costs. Tucker Carlson has likewise sold his soul to Donald Trump and worships him, supports him, protects him and defends him at all costs. On February 20, a month after declaring "the American public should actually see all that happened" during the deadly, Trump-incited riot. McCarthy gave Carlson access to 41,000 hours of January 6 Capitol surveillance footage. Carlson, of course, will never show "all that happened."
