A moron who believes Trump's lies calls his ex-girlfriend a moron for not believing Trump's lies. Wow.

Capitol suspect's ex turns him in after he calls her a 'moron' for doubting election fraud
    HuffPost, Feb 25 2021 6:42 PM

A Donald Trump supporter charged with breaching the Capitol during last month’s insurrection was turned in by his ex-girlfriend after federal officials say he texted that she was a “moron” if she couldn’t “see the election was stolen.” Pennsylvania resident Richard Michetti is now facing charges of knowingly entering a restricted building, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and obstruction of justice and Congress.

The day after the insurrection, Michetti’s unidentified ex-girlfriend informed law enforcement of several text messages and two videos that he had sent her from inside the Capitol. Michetti repeated conspiracy theories about the election, talked about the chaos inside the Capitol – and told her, “If you can’t see the election was stolen you’re a moron." Michetti is one of 268 people facing charges in connection with the storming of the Capitol.

The bill for all these expenses – nearly $100,000,000 – should have to be paid by Donald Trump, his Retrumplican enablers and his blindly loyal supporters who believe his lies about voter fraud and a stolen election.

Wray said the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol was an act of "domestic terrorism" carried out by "violent extremists" and not by "Antifa" or "fake Trump supporters." Of course the Retrumplicans will refuse to believe him. They will continue to cling to their baseless conspiracy theories.

A large number of right-wing conspiracy theorists believe Donald Trump will be sworn in as President on March 4. Let me say it again: Trump lost the election.

Federal investigators are examining records of January 6 phone calls between members of Congress and the pro-Trump mob that attacked the Capitol. They hope to determine if lawmakers wittingly or unwittingly helped the insurrectionists. Meanwhile, Retrumplicans continue to push Trump's lie of a "rigged, stolen election" – the same lie which led Trump's gullible, blindly loyal supporters to stage the insurrection.

Don Lemon pulls no punches with Pence: ‘Have you not debased yourself enough’ for Trump?
    HuffPost. Mar 4 2021 1:03 AM

CNN’s Don Lemon urged viewers to “stop falling for this bullcrap” after former Vice President Mike Pence in an op-ed peddled the lie that the 2020 election was marred by “significant voting irregularities.” The CNN anchor couldn’t quite believe that Pence continues to stump for ex-President Donald Trump, even after a violent mob of Trump supporters declared their intention to kill Pence during the deadly US Capitol riot on January 6.

“Remember, they wanted to hang him,” Lemon recalled. “He’s so enthralled to this disgraced, twice-impeached, one-term former President that he’s still supporting that big lie. The big lie that almost got him killed. Come on, Mike Pence. Do you care about power that much? I guess you do. Sorry, I shouldn’t even ask that question. I shouldn’t waste my time. Have you not debased yourself enough for that man?” Lemon noted that Trump “didn’t even call Mike Pence during the riot to find out if he and his family were okay.”

Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Rudy Giuliani and Mo Brooks spewed baseless accusations of voter fraud and a rigged, stolen election. On the day of the riot, they had told Trump's blindly loyal supporters to march to the Capitol and block the certification of Biden's electoral votes. They are "responsible for the injury and destruction that followed," asserts Eric Swalwell. Indeed they are..

Eric Klein, a Trump appointee and former Trump campaign aide, helped rioters breach the Capitol building and fought with police – and wore one of Trump's goofy red "Make America Great Again" caps.

On the night before the insurrection at the Capitol, someone planted pipe bombs outside the Democratic and Republican party headquarters in Washington DC. The bombs were discovered the next day and were safely detonated by robots. The person who planted them has not been caught. Yet.

Senators, Representatives and executive and judicial officers of the federal government or any of the states are required to take an oath which begins, "I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." In Trumpworld, many Senators, Representatives and officials wound up changing the oath to "I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend Donald Trump, not the Constitution of the United States." How sad – and how scary.

Trump aide who stormed the Capitol broke an 'oath to protect America,' judge says
    Reuters, Mar 9 2021 1:41 PM

A man appointed to the US State Department during the Trump administration will remain in jail while he awaits trial on charges that he took part in the deadly storming of the Capitol and assaulted police officers, a judge said today. US Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui in Washington said during a court hearing that he was denying a request by Federico “Freddie” Klein, 42, for pretrial release.

The judge said Klein’s status as a government employee at the time of the January 6 attack was troubling and suggested he would pose a danger to the public if released. Faruqui said Klein “swore an oath to protect America” but instead “switched sides” and joined forces with domestic enemies during the attack on the Capitol which left five people dead. “How could someone sworn to protect the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, then participate in an attempt to stop the administration of the Constitution?” Faruqui said.

Klein, who had a top-level security clearance, served as a State Department political appointee from 2017 until his resignation on January 19, the day before former President Donald Trump left office. Federal prosecutors allege Klein assaulted police officers with a riot shield and jammed it into doors at the Capitol, ignored commands to back down and encouraged others to clash with the police.
