You can't be serious. Thousands of people are shot every year in Chicago. Are the Republicans responsible for that? Most people who own guns do so legally. Most of those people had to go through a backround check and register their guns. Do you think criminals really give a shit about tighter gun laws/backround checks. Most Republicans are law abiding gun owners who do what they must legally to own. I even believe the same with democratics that own guns.

With very few exceptions, Congressional Republicans have sold their souls to Donald Trump. They worship him, protect him, defend him and refuse to criticize him or disagree with him. Trump is opposed to everything Biden wants to do – and therefore so are the Retrumplicans. Thus, Biden is unable to pass voting-rights legislation, immigration reform, an assault weapons ban, the Build Back Better Act or the Clean Energy Performance Program. In 2024, Retrumplicans will say Biden failed to accomplish his goals. They will conveniently ignore the fact that they – along with Democrats Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema – are responsible for Biden's failures.

Biden asks how Trump 'could intimidate an entire party' while out of office
    Business Insider, Jan 19 2022

President Joe Biden today extensively criticized Congressional Republicans for failing to entertain any bipartisan cooperation on his agenda. The President's comments came during a lengthy press conference at the White House. Biden singled out former President Donald Trump and questioned how the candidate he defeated in November 2020 maintains such a grip on the GOP. "Did you ever think that one man out of office could intimidate an entire party where they're unwilling to take any vote contrary to what he thinks should be taken for fear of being defeated in a primary?" Biden said. He later added that five GOP senators have confided in him, all saying they would otherwise vote for some of his legislative priorities were they not afraid of a primary challenge from a more fervent Trump loyalist.

Conservatives and blindly loyal Trump supporters love to rant about socialism. You do realize that Medicare, Social Security, minimum wage, child labor laws and agricultural subsidies are forms of socialism, right?

Opinion: America already has socialist programs – you probably benefit from them

And of course the Retrumplicans are attacking Jackson as a pawn of the "radical left." By the way, there have only been six Supreme Court Justices who were not white men. Retrumplicans probably hated all six of them.

Three racist, bigoted, white nationalist Retrumplicans appear to be proud, card-carrying members of the Confederacy.

3 House Republicans vote against making lynching a hate crime
    HuffPost, Mar 1 2022 12:12 PM EST

Three Republicans in the US House were the only votes against a bill that would make lynching a federal hate crime. The Emmett Till Anti-Lynching Act, named after a 14-year-old Black boy beaten and lynched in Mississippi in 1955, passed the House with an overwhelming vote of support, 422-3, on Monday. The bill would make lynching a federal hate crime punishable by up to 30 years in prison. The only three Representatives to vote against the bill were Republicans Andrew Clyde of Georgia, Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Chip Roy of Texas.

After President Trump gave huge tax cuts to banks, big corporations and the wealthiest Americans, the federal deficit skyrocketed. In October 2020, it hit an all-time high of $3,132,000,000,000. In fiscal 2021, the deficit shrank to $2,780,000,000,000. President Biden is now proposing a minimum 20% federal income tax on all households worth $100,000,000 or more.

George Henry White of North Carolina was elected to the US House of Representatives in 1897. He was the only black Congressman at that time. On January 20, 1900, he introduced a bill that would make lynching a federal crime to be prosecuted by federal courts. One hundred twenty-two years later, anti-lynching legislation has finally passed.

Since the Supreme Court was established in 1789, 115 Justices have served. One huindred eight have been white men. Jackson will be the first black woman to serve. She will replace Stephen Breyer, who will retire at the end of the Court's current term in June or early July.
