The three newest Supreme Court Justices are Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. Each was nominated by Donald Trump and each, prior to being confirmed, assured Congress that they believe Roe v. Wade is "settled law" and should not be overturned. All three were lying. The Court is poised to strike down the 1973 decision which said the Constitution protects a woman's right to have an abortion. And.......

Trump fears wrath of 'suburban women' over Roe loss could torpedo his 2024 chances: report
Former President Donald Trump has been uncharacteristically quiet about the expected decision on Roe v. Wade.

Trump will not choose Pence as his running mate in 2024. Trump views him as a traitor for doing his Constitutonal duty and cerifying Joe Biden's electoral votes instead of rejecting the votes, rejecting the will of the people and overturning the election to keep Trump in office for four more years – something which Pence had no power to do anyway, but try telling that to deranged, demented, delusional Donald!

Trump might announce on July 4 that he will run for President in 2024. Yes, never mind that the day commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Trump will make the day all about him.

Lie, cheat, defraud, swindle, evade taxes, violate the law, violate the Consitution, violate the Presidential oath of office, incite a deadly riot – and continue to be supported by an overwhelming majority of Retrumplicans. The Cult of Donald Trump is alive and well in 2022.

Republicans aching for the 2024 Presidential nomination shouldn't expect the January 6 hearings to be their saving grace to beat Trump, political insiders say

"Let's make America sane again," said the Post in an editorial calling for a "fresh start" and urging Republicans to nominate someone other than Donald Trump in 2024.

Trump trapped by 'ego' in 2020; GOP should leave him there, slams New York Post
The newspaper controlled by longtime Trump backer Rupert Murdoch called January 6 a "national shame" and ripped the "King Lear of Mar-a-Lago" for his inability to move forward.

The outcome of the 2024 election may mark the end of our democracy. It won't take much because most of it is already gone. Those who are intelligent, rational, reasonable, capable of tolerance and empathy for others are rightly stressed. They recognize the danger.

Those with psychopathic tendencies want to take advantage of the tears in the fabric of the country and will run if the field is open. The posturing to show their suitability for office will start soon.

Pence is one of them and is as repulsive as any of the others.

    edit:

Just saw this re Pence's "resistance" on Jan 6. Phony to the core!

LAWRENCE O'DONNELL: Well, we have Bob Woodward's version of, in which is -- I was gonna say it's word-for-word what we heard today, but it's more than that. Bob Woodward has more words about that conversation, including, it has Mike Pence in that conversation with Donald Trump, saying, I tried everything. I tried every way to try to get around this, and I couldn't find anything. That's the person who we heard from Greg Jacob today, "never wavered." From the first moment that Mike Pence raised this question of what happened on January 6th, his aides said Mike Pence believed that he had no choice just like Al Gore had no choice. And he never wavered in that. Jacob said in this video, "he was steely and determined when he came out of that phone call with the president on January 6th." I wish he was steely and determined on December 6th, when he could've said the vice-president has no choice. And so, this drama, this tragedy, it was so much a product of Mike Pence's deliberate cowardly silence for one full month, never telling the country, ever, that the vice president had no choice. And he chose to tell the country that at 1 pm, on January 6th, when that guy with the beard, was on his way to the Capitol. And on his way to the Capitol, that guy finds out that Mike Pence, just now, betrayed us. Would that guy have gone to the Capitol, would he have gone to Washington, if Mike Pence said, a month ago, nothing can happen on January 6th? So, Mike Pence, the guy who does the right thing in the end, the question is, why did you wait until the end?

"The outcome of the 2024 election may mark the end of our democracy." I agree – and so does Barry Bauling of Calabasas. In a letter published June 10 in the Los Angeles Times, he wrote about the January 6 House committee hearings and ended with: "If, at the conclusion of the hearings, the Republican Party still supports any of the perpetrators of the 'Big Lie' that the election was stolen from former President Trump, and if its leaders are elected or reelected to office, then democracy as we know it is ending."

    First question: Is he serious?
Second question: Is his chance of being nominated greater than zero?
Third question: If nominated, is his chance of being elected greater than zero?

"Trump is a disgrace. Republicans have far better options to lead the party in 2024. No one should think otherwise, much less support him, ever again," concludes an editorial in today's Washington Examiner.

On July 4, Donald Trump is expected to announce he is running for President in 2024. Yes, he will ignore the reason we celebrate the Fourth of July and he will make the day all about him.

Opinion: Put a fork in Donald Trump – the ex-President is done
As bad as his political position looks today, it is only likely to get worse – and his imminent announcement of a Presidential campaign is just another sign of his collapse.
