S.V. Dáte is a senior White House correspondent at HuffPost and has written biographies of Jeb Bush and Bob Graham. Dáte notes that a second Trump Presidency would allow Trump to avoid – for four years, anyway – being prosecuted for tax fraud, conspiracy and/or inciting a riot.

One good reason for Trump to want his old job back: staying out of prison
With the possibility of indictments growing, Trump’s best bet to avoid conviction is to win the protection against prosecution the Oval Office confers.

Donald Trump complained in 2016 and 2020 – without evideence – that the debates were rigged, the questions were rigged, the moderators were rigged, the microphones were rigged and the television coverage was rigged. This move by the Retrumplicans should come as no surprise. If Trump takes part in any debtaes in 2024, he will be able to rig them to his satisfaction.

Donald Trump has always mocked those whom he regards as "losers." Because Trump, who has a galaxy-sized ego, refuses to be branded as a loser, he has spent 18 months insisting he won the 2020 Presidential election "in a landslide" and claiming – with zero evidence – that the election was "rigged" and "stolen." He did not win. He lost. He is a loser. Retrumplicans are determined to win in 2024. To do so, they're attempting to install Trump loyalists as elections officials, poll workers and Secretaries of State. As Robert Reich notes, "they care more about electing Trump than upholding democracy."

Ex-Labor Secretary warns how Donald Trump could actually steal the 2024 election
"If they succeed, you can kiss our democracy goodbye," cautioned Clinton-era Cabinet member Robert Reich.

Sanders failed to win the Democratic Presidential nomination in 2016 and 2020. Maybe he's thinking "the third time is the charm."

Bernie Sanders' team says he has 'not ruled out' a 2024 bid if Biden doesn't run

In Europe, where political betting is legal, several sports betting sites give Donald Trump the best odds of winning the 2024 Presidential election. Joe Biden ranks second. Why would anyone vote for a crooked, corrupt, lying, cheating, deranged, demented, self-serving egomaniac who violates the law, violates the Constitution, violated the Presidential oath of office, cozies up to world dictators and incited a deadly riot by spreading lies of a "rigged" and "stolen" election?

John Michael Luttig, a former United States Circuit Judge – and a Republican – details how Retrumplicans attempted to overturn the 2020 Presidential election and how they will attempt to ignore the will of the voters and overturn the 2024 election if a Retrumplican doesn't win.

In March, Mike Pence told Fox Business Channel host Maria Bartiromo he is not ruling out running for President in 2024. "I’m confident the Republican party will nominate a candidate who will be the next President of the United States of America," he added. Pence has zero chance of winning the nomination. The Cult Of Donald Trump – formerly known as the Republican party – will never consider nominating anyone other than Trump.

The state is key in the GOP nominating process and had long been favorable to social conservatives – until Pence's former boss won it in 2016.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk says Democrats are "the party of division of hate." He now supports Republicans, who are anti-immigrant, anti-Black, anti-Muslim, anti-Hispanic, anti-LGBTQ, anti-labor and anti-middle-class and spread baseless lies and accusations of voter fraud. Go figure!
