Even though the 2020 Presidential election was the most secure in our nation's history, two thirds of Retrumplicans believe The Big Lie that Trump won in a landslide but the election was "rigged" and the victory was "stolen" from him. Retrumplican legislatures have been busy passing laws that will make voting much more difficult for minorities, Asians, Native Americans, the elderly and the handicapped and make it much easier for Retrumplicans to overturn election results which they don't like, i.e., any election in which a Democrat wins.

Tyranny expert sounds the alarm on 2024 election
    HuffPost, Oct 23 2021 4:58 AM

Yale history professor Timothy Snyder, an expert on fascism and authoritarianism, has sounded what could be one of the loudest alarms yet on the 2024 election. Snyder, talking with MSNBC’s Ari Melber, noted how former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 result had relied on “personal charisma and signals to his followers and a few people in the Justice Department and hope.” Snyder warned that if Trump officially enters the 2024 race he will also have “a whole bunch of institutional machinery” with the installation of partisan election officials who back his 2020 lies, which for them legitimizes throwing the vote, “plus a whole lot of time to plan.”

Snyder said, “What we know historically is that a failed coup is a trial run for a successful coup. Usually when you fail in a coup, something happens to you – and nothing has happened to Trump.” Melber asked Snyder if he feared a coordinated effort that could swing the election. “We should be thinking about this as what is happening and then ask what we can do to prevent it,” he replied.

An overwhelming majority of Retrumplicans are blindly loyal members of the Cult of Donald Trump. They worship him and they believe his lies and millions of them are willing to fight and even die for him. Miller will likely never be able to convince any of them to turn against their idol.

Donald Trump lies constantly. Donald Trump withheld Congressionally-approved military aid from Ukraine and dangled it as a bribe, hoping to persuade President Volodymyr Zelensky to dig up dirt on Joe Biden. Donald Trump downplayed the severity of COVID-19. Donald Trump spread lies about the 2020 election. Donald Trump incited a deadly riot. Donald Trump was impeached twice. And still the Retrumplicans support him. CNN political commentator Chris Cillizza explains why they shouldn't.

    This is Trump's greatest trick
Former President Donald Trump maintains strong support among Republicans even though the party suffered significant losses in both the House and Senate during his Presidency. In the latest episode of The Point, CNN's Chris Cillizza talks about how Trump is tricking Republicans into thinking he's the party's the best option in 2024.

Deranged, demented, delusional Donald is at it again. He told a crowd in Orlando, "We won the first time, and the second time we won by even more. And it looks like we might have to think about very strongly a third time." No, Donald, you did not win in 2020. You lost. You are a loser. L-O-S-E-R. Loser!

In March, 72% of Americans approved of President Biden's job performance. In a new ABC News/Ipsos poll released yesterday, his approval rating has sunk to 53%. A growing number of Americans are unhappy with his handling of the economy, COVID-19 and gun violence. Biden, who turned 79 last month, may choose to not run for re-election in 2024.

Retrumplicans are doing all they can to rig elections in their favor. They are passing legislation making voting much more difficult for minorities, the handicapped and the elderly. They are redrawing Congressional districts in a way that favors Retrumplicans and dilutes the voting power of Democrats. They are seeking to install Trump loyalists in statewide offices. They are trying to find ways to overturn the results of any elections that don't go their way – in other words, elections won by Democrats. Retrumplicans do not care about our democracy. All they care about is Donald Trump, banks, big corporations, the wealthiest Americans and staying in power.

Secretary-of-state contests are in the 2022 spotlight as Trump continues to undermine American democracy. None may be bigger than Georgia’s.

On election day in 2024, Biden will be almost 82. Will he be too old to serve another term as President? I say no. Queen Elizabeth II is 95, Cameroon President Paul Biya is 88, Lebanon President Michael Aoun is 88 and Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas is 86.

Cheney is one of a very small number of Congresssional Republicans who have not sold their souls to Donald Trump. The majority continue to protect him, defend him, worship him and ensure that he remains above the law and above the Constitution. He is answerable to no one and can do anything he wants with impunity. Retrumplicans will not even consider nominating anyone else in 2024. Long live Emperor Trump!

As Trump weighs 2024 bid, top Republican calls him 'clearly unfit for future office'
    ABC News, Jan 2 2022

Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney, the top Republican on the House select committee investigating the January 6 assault on the US Capitol, said former President Donald Trump is "clearly unfit for future office and clearly can never be anywhere near the Oval Office ever again." In an interview with This Week anchor George Stephanopoulos on Sunday, Cheney said, "He crossed lines no American President has ever crossed before. When a President refuses to tell the mob to stop, when he refuses to defend any of the coordinate branches of government, he cannot be trusted." She said her party has a "particular duty" to not only reject the events of January 6 but "to make sure that Donald Trump is not our nominee and that he's never anywhere close to the reins of power ever again."

Trump lost the popular vote in 2016 and he lost the popular vote in 2020. Why do you think he would win in 2024? Especially after inciting a riot and being out of office for 4 years.
