Several cats and dogs and several otters, ferrets, apes and white-tailed deer in zoos and animal sanctuaries have gotten COVID-19. We can now add hippos to the list. The CDC says "the risk of animals spreading the virus to people is low – but people with COVID-19 can spread the virus to animals during close contact."
