Only nine Republicans voted for the Presidential Election Reform Act. Retrumplican leaders in the House pressured their members to vote no. Retrumplicans want to be able to rig and steal future elections and this bill will make it harder for them to do that.

House passes bill to prevent stolen elections, despite strong GOP opposition
The legislation now goes to the Senate, where a bipartisan working group has released a similar package that will be reviewed in committee next week.

There was voter fraud in 2020 but, because it involved a Republican, you will not be hearing anything about this from Donald Trump, Kevin McCarthy, Mitch McConnell, Fox News or One America Network.

The judge said Donald Trump "is repeatedly using the courts to seek revenge on political adversaries" – and I'm guessing nobody has more "political adversaries" than Donald Trump.

Trump, lawyer hit with $1 million in sanctions in Clinton case
    Blooimberg, Jan 19 2023

Former President Donald Trump, his attorney Alida Habba and her law firm Habba Madaio & Associates were ordered by a judge to pay $937,989 in sanctions to Hillary Clinton, her 2016 campaign and more than a dozen political operatives who he accused of running a vast conspiracy to damage his reputation. The sanctions were issued on behalf of 18 defendants who submitted a joint motion accusing Trump and Habba of knowingly filing a lawsuit with bogus and unbelievable claims to dishonestly advance a political narrative. The suit is part of a long pattern of abuse of the courts by Trump and his lawyers and "should never have been brought,” US District Judge Donald Middlebrooks said in a ruling today in West Palm Beach, Florida.

How can McCarthy call it an "ethics committee" when three of its members have no ethics, no morals, no honor, no honesty and no integrity?

The GOP's House Ethics Committee will be led by an election denier
Three Republicans named to the panel, including its new chair, fueled lies about the 2020 Presidential election and voted to reject the results.

Republicans accept huge donations from the National Rifle Association and, in turn, do the NRA's bidding. They do not want any limits or restrictions on ownership of guns and high-capacity ammo magazines. Their response to every mass shooting is to offer meaningless "thoughts and prayers." Republicans value everyone's right to own a semi-automatic assault weapon far above anyone's right to life.

Jimmy Kimmel hits 4 Republicans behind 'National Gun' idea with a scathing nickname
    HuffPost, Feb 25 2023 2:04 AM EST

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on Friday tore into four House Republicans who are backing legislation to make the AR-15 rifle the "national gun of the United States." Barry Moore of Alabama last week introduced the bill, which is co-sponsored by serial fabulist George Santos of New York, Andrew Clyde of Georgia and extremist Lauren Boebert of Colorado. "These are the heroes working to get us a national gun," said Kimmel on his show Jimmy Kimmel Live! And the next time there’s a mass shooting with an AR-15, which will probably be by the end of the week, we will know who to thank: the four gun whores of the apocalypse."

Donald Trump is a right-wing, immigrant-hating white supremacist who refers to white nationalists as "good people." Congressional Retrumplicans – including Jim Jordan, Paul Gosar, Scott Perry Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene – apparently share Trump's views. How sad. And how pathetic.

Texas Representative Tony Tinderholt introduced two bills, one in 2017 and one in 2019, that would criminalize abortions, leaving women and physicians who perform the procedure to face criminal charges that could carry the death penalty. There would be no exceptions for rape or incest. Another Texas Representative, Bryan Slaton, introduced a similar bill in 2021. All three bills failed – but Retrumplicans in South Carolina think punishing abortion by imposing the death penalty is an excellent idea.
