Butler was born in 1991 in Anaheim. As a teenager he appeared in episodes of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, Hannah Montana, iCarly and iZoey 101. He co-starred in The Iceman Cometh on Broadway, 2016-18. Now he'll portray Elvis Presley opposite Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker (who was born Andreas Cornelis van Kuijk in the Netherlands, was an illegal immigrant and was never a colonel).

Graceland, the Memphis estate owned by Elvis Presley from 1957 to 1977, is the second-most-visited house in the United States, after the White House. Upon Presley's death, the estate passed to his daughter Lisa Marie. The property was originally part of a 500-acre farm owned by several generations of the Toof family. The mansion was built in 1939 and named for Grace Toof, who had owned the property from 1894 until her death in 1928. Graceland opened to the public in June of 1982 – and any member of the public who wants to take the guided VIP Tour of Graceland, visit Presley's private lounge, see Presley's automobiles and custom jet planes and get a meal voucher for Vernon's Steakhouse will have to pay $180. Elvis just keps making money!
