Ask a million children what they want to be when they grow up and I doubt any of them would say "barber" -- but here is a girl who enrolled in a junior barber school at age 7:

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the term "going viral," referring to the rapid spread of information or videos on social media, dates from 1989. In 2018, the story of this six-year-old who needs a service dog has gone viral -- and he's quickly reaching his goal.

Exactly one year after delivering a stillborn baby, a woman anonymously paid for a one-year-old's birthday cake. I think she may have unknowingly started a "pay-it-forward" trend.

In the 1960s-70s, there was an anti-war slogan, "What if they gave a war and nobody came." Well, what if a boy gave a birthday party and nobody came? Thanks to an NBA team, the boy had a happy belated birthday. And maybe next year the invitees will show up.

The wheelchair of a six-year-old Edmonton boy with spina bifida got stuck in the snow as his mother was walking him home from school. Two men carried the wheelchair to the home a kilometer away. Most news outlets focus on the bad in the world but there really are a lot of nice people who do nice things. Thus, this thread.

It's nice that these kids can now have fun participating in a popular winter activity -- as long as they never make a snowball with a rock inside. Oh, wait -- maybe I shouldn't give them any ideas.

A 9-year-old boy successfully led a campaign to overturn his hometown's ban on snowball fights
