POLL: Who will win Super Bowl LIII?

Every year, dm_4 posts a poll question: Will the Patriots win the Super Bowl? The Patriots beat the Falcons in the 2017 Super Bowl but lost to the Eagles in the 2018 Super Bowl. This year, I'm beating dm_4 to the punch.

Okay, I just finished my glass of punch and now I can post this story from ESPN. Super Bowl LIII takes place February 3, 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

2018 NFL projections: rankings and odds for Super Bowl LIII
    ESPN, May 29 2018 5:30 AM PT

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are back on top -- of ESPN's Football Power Index. Despite losing the Super Bowl to the Nick Foles-led Eagles and despite an off-season filled with questions about stability at the top of the organization, the Patriots remain the best team in the NFL and the favorite to win Super Bowl LIII, according to our FPI projections with 100 days to go until the regular season.

But this isn't a repeat of last season, when we considered the Patriots the runaway top team in the NFL to the point that they had a coin-flip chance to reach the Super Bowl. This time around, New England may still be the best but it is really a part of a three-team tier of the NFL's elite. The other two teams to make up the league's upper crust? The Eagles and Steelers.

    Rankings and odds:

ESPN has ranked all the NFL teams based on their chances of winning the Super Bowl. Now MSN has ranked the 32 head coaches. I could have sworn football season is still three months away.

Sports website TBL (The Big Lead) today released their rankings of NFL coaches. Last on the list is the Browns' Hue Jackson, who has a record of 1-31. First on the list is.......hey, I'm no spoiler!

dm_4 may want to write a nasty letter to the Washington Post after reading these particularly pessimistic Patriots prognostications by Adam Kilgore:

Is the Patriots' dynasty coming to an end? Here's what to watch for this season.

Sports news and discussion site YardBarker has an article giving the reasons why each team will win the Super Bowl and why each team will not win the Super Bowl. Pretty clever. No matter who wins, they can say, "Look! We were right!"

YardBarker -- which would be a good name for a dog -- has published the current odds of each team's likelihood of winning the Super Bowl. The Patriots are 7-1 favorites. The Bears, Bills, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Dolphins and Jets each have odds of 100-1.

Today, following the Patriots' 17-10 loss to the Steelers, two reporters wrote highly negative stories about the Patriots. You might say, "So what?" Well, the reporters are from the Boston Globe. Whatever happened to that "Boston strong" attitude?

Is this the end for the Patriots dynasty?

Reality is, the Patriots are simply not a great team

'Tis the season to be jolly.....and also, it seems, to pick on the Patriots.
