Today's Sesame Street is brought to you by the letter R. That stands for "remake" and "reboot." I wonder if nutritionists and pediatricians will force Cookie Monster to give up cookies and start eating kale and açaí berries. Today in Hollywood unoriginality:

Anne Hathaway's Sesame Street movie lands winter 2021 release; Tom & Jerry slated for April 2021

I haven't read this story yet. I'm still trying to make sense of the headline.

The Wonder Woman sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, is not actually a sequel

"The only person I let in on the fact that I was still alive was a six-year-old kid." Thanks to Hollywood's unoriginality, we all know Chucky is still alive.

"They're creepy and they're kooky" -- and they're back. Charles Addams' single-panel cartoons of a macabre family appeared sporadically in The New Yorker from 1937 until his death in 1988. Addams did not give the characters names until 1964, when he and ABC made a deal for an Addams Family television series.

There have been 13 Star Trek movies and eight Star Trek television series. Three more Star Trek tv series are in development. Some day there will probably be a full-time Star Trek tv channel.

Pinhead is a character in Hellraiser – and Hollywood is filled with pinheads who can't come up with any original ideas.

Wouldn't it be nice if producers would go on a diet and cut out all the reboots, remakes and sequels?

Somewhere the ghost of Art Linkletter is thinking, "Hollywood producers do the darnedest reboots."

This means I'll have to find my 1986 "Punky Power" button and once again wear socks that don't match. I wonder if she kept Henry Warnimont's photography studio.
