The 2008 Detroit Lions now have some company. Today the Browns lost to the Steelers 28-24, becoming the second NFL team to go winless in a season. In Hue Jackson's two seasons as head coach, the Browns won only one game and lost 31. Jackson's consolation prize: the Browns will have two of the top five picks in the 2018 NFL draft.
Despite going 0-16 this season, the Browns announced that Hue Jackson will return as coach in 2018. And then there are the Raiders:

Jon Gruden used to be head coach for the Raiders and the Buccaneers and ESPN says he will be coming back to the Raiders.
I do not know why USC played in the Cotton Bowl last week instead of the Rose Bowl. They have been in more Rose Bowl games than any other team. Today's game was between Georgia and Oklahoma. Georgia won and they will play Alabama for the championship next week. I think Alabama will win but I think it will be a very close game.
Penguin, it seems that everybody except Jon Gruden is saying Jon Gruden will rejoin the Raiders.
Jon Gruden on Oakland Raiders job: 'I hope I'm a candidate'
Reuters, Jan 2 2018 5:08 PM
Jon Gruden is expected to become the next coach of the Oakland Raiders but he was playing coy on Tuesday. Gruden is the hot name for the job after Jack Del Rio was fired but he was playing his cards tight to the vest during an interview with the Bay Area News Group. "My understanding is they're interviewing candidates this week," Gruden said, "and they're going to let everybody know sometime early next week or whenever they make their decision." Gruden was then asked if he was indeed a candidate. "Well, I think I am being considered, yes," Gruden said. "I hope I'm a candidate."
There is speculation that the Raiders plan to hire Gruden but are delaying the process so they can meet the requirements of the Rooney Rule by interviewing a minority candidate. Reports have the Raiders ready to give Gruden an annual salary of more than $10 million and an ownership stake in the team from Mark Davis, who has agreed to relocate the franchise to Las Vegas as soon as the 2019 season.

Five players could be voted in to the Football Hall of Fame this year. Here are the 15 finalists. I think Ray Lewis and Randy Moss and Terrell Owens will all get in.
