After being closed since March 14, 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure reopened April 30 at 25% capacity. Guests entering the parks will have to submit to a temperature check, guests age two and older will be required to wear a mask, social distancing will be enforced, and all transactions must be by debit card or credit card; cash will not be accepted. In Disney-Pixar's Turning Red, scheduled to to be released March 22, 2022, Mei Lee (voiced by Rosalie Chiang) is a 13-year-old who turns into a giant red panda when she gets overly stressed. The film is directed by Domee Shi, who directed the 2018 short Bao.

Today Disney released a teaser for Lightyear, which is scheduled to open in theaters on June 17, 2022. Captain America star Chris Evans will voice the "original" Buzz Lightyear. Tim Allen voiced the character in four Toy Story films. Evans explained on Twitter, "Just to be clear, this isn't Buzz Lightyear the toy. This is the origin story of the human Buzz Lightyear that the toy is based on." There was a real Buzz Lightyear! Who knew?

When Disneyland first opened in 1955, adult admission cost $1 and child admission cost 50¢. The cost of the individual attractions ranged from 10¢ to 35¢. Parking was 25¢. As of today, Disneyland admission on the highest-demand days – holidays, summer weekends, spring break – costs $164. The parking fee rose another $5 and is now $30. A family of five visiting Disneyland on a highest-demand day will have to pay $850 – and that's not counting food and souvenirs. Yikes!
