After being closed since March 14, 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure reopened April 30 at 25% capacity. Guests entering the parks will have to submit to a temperature check, guests age two and older will be required to wear a mask, social distancing will be enforced, and all transactions must be by debit card or credit card; cash will not be accepted. During the shutdown, the Snow White's Scary Adventures attraction was refurbished with new technology and a scene of the Prince awakening Snow White with "true love's kiss." Here is the ride-through:

Milton Berle occasionally opened a stage show or a television program by saying, "Hello, everyone. I'd call you ladies and gentlemen but you know what you are." In 2021, Walt Disney World is likewise refusing to acknowledge "ladies" and "gentlemen" – and "boys" and "girls."

Today Disney released a teaser for Lightyear, which is scheduled to open in theaters on June 17, 2022. Captain America star Chris Evans will voice the "original" Buzz Lightyear. Tim Allen voiced the character in four Toy Story films. Evans explained on Twitter, "Just to be clear, this isn't Buzz Lightyear the toy. This is the origin story of the human Buzz Lightyear that the toy is based on." There was a real Buzz Lightyear! Who knew?

Pay a small fortune to park, pay a much bigger fortune to get into the park – and then pay even more to get on some of the rides. Bob Chapek may be the Walt Disney Company's CEO but Scrooge McDuck is obviously in charge of theme park pricing.

The new Disney Genie service will debut this fall as part of the Disneyland and Walt Disney World mobile apps as a replacement for the retiring FastPass and MaxPass line-cutting options.

Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin is being updated to be more "culturally sensitive." Jessica Rabbit will no longer be seen tied up in the trunk of a car. Uh, Disney? You do know Jessica Rabbit is an animated character and not a real woman, right?

Disneyland makes Toontown ride 'more relevant' with Jessica Rabbit as central character
