Scioscia leaving the Angels? Maybe, maybe not. We may not know for certain until the season ends.

Scioscia dismisses reports of him leaving the Angels as 'poppycock'

USA Today says Scioscia decided before the season started that he would retire this year. He does not want any publicity or ceremonies and that is why he is keeping quiet about it.

I like watching Little League baseball more than I like watching MLB games. Peachtree City Georgia just beat Coeur D'Alene Idaho and they will advance to the next round of playoffs. The Little League World Series game will be on August 26. Teams from Japan and China and Korea have won a lot of championships and I hope the US team will make it all the way to the championship game.

Hawaii just beat South Korea 3-0 to win the Little League Championship. Their pitching was really good this year. They did not give up any runs in the last 17 innings of the playoffs. I am proud of this team.

A friend at work told me about this and I thought he was joking. Two guys want to change baseball so whichever team is leading will get two outs in an inning instead of three outs. I found the story here - https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-radic...all-1535562571

This will be the first year in MLB history that there are more strikeouts than hits. Maybe this is part of the reason attendance is dropping.

Eight weeks ago, Scioscia said reports of him leaving the Angels are "poppycock." Hang on a minute -- I want to look up "poppycock" in the dictionary.

Autumn -- that time of year when the weather turns cooler, the leaves on the trees change color.......and baseball teams fire their managers. The Rangers fired Jeff Bannister. Then the Blue Jays fired John Gibbons. Then the Orioles fired Buck Showalter. And then today.......

Twins manager Paul Molitor fired one year after winning Manager Of The Year award
