Matt Kemp is leaving the Braves and coming back to the Dodgers. They got him by trading Scott Kazmir, Adrian Gonzales, Charlie Culberson and Brandon McCarthy. I don't think Kemp will stay with the Dodgers. I think they will trade him again.

Dodgers fans were not happy about Houston winning the 2017 World Series. Las Vegas bookies weren't too thrilled either.

This years Baseball Hall Of Fame inductees will be announced on January 24. Former Braves third baseman Chipper Jones -- his real first name is Larry -- is a certainty. Vladimir Guerrero, Trevor Hoffman, Jim Thome and Edgar Martinez will probably also be chosen.

Oakland A's offer free admission on April 17
Los Angeles Times, Jan 3 2018 11:00 AM
In celebration of their 50th anniversary in Oakland, the Athletics are offering free admission to their April 17 game against the Chicago White Sox. Parking is free as well. The game marks 50 years to the day when the A’s made their Oakland debut, a 4-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. The A’s got two hits that day. Rick Monday, now a Dodgers broadcaster, hit a home run. The other Oakland hit: a single by future A’s manager Tony La Russa, the only hit he would get all season. Free tickets will be available January 10 at athletics.com/50.

This is outrageous! Donaldson's $23,000,000 salary works out to $141,475.30 per game. That's around $48,000 an hour -- to play baseball. Ridiculous!

There was a column in the Los Angeles Times today saying the Dodgers should not sign Yu Darvish. He pitched really bad in two World Series games against the Astros. He gave up 5 runs in one game and 4 runs in another game and he did not even finish two innings in either game. The Astros won the World Series and now he is a free agent. ESPN says six teams are interested in him. They are the Dodgers, Yankees, Cubs, Twins, Astros, Rangers. I agree with the Times columnist. The Dodgers should not bring back Yu Darvish. I think he will go to the Yankees or the Astros.
Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens will have to stay home and sulk and pout for at least one more year.

All 30 MLB teams will begin play this year on March 29. Not since 1968, when there were only 20 teams, has every team played on opening day. Excluding games played in other countries, this will be the earliest start of a regular season in MLB history. Here are the details from MLB.com:
