I can't help wondering what Donald Trump and Fox News would say if this mistake had been made by CNN.

It's official now. Owens had been interim executive producer of 60 Minutes for the past five months. Jeff Fager ran the program from 2004 until last September when he was fired after sending a threatening text message to CBS reporter Jericka Duncan, who was investigating sexual misconduct allegations against.......Jeff Fager.

Bill Owens is only the third executive producer of the series, which has run since 1968.

Gannett, AOL, BuzzFeed, McClatchy and The Huffington Post are among several news outlets and newspaper publishers that have been firing.....pardon me, laying off reporters and photographers in 2019. The year is only six weeks old and more than 2,000 journalists have lost their jobs.

PBS's NewsHour program, which launched in 1975, is finally getting a West Coast bureau.....in Phoenix. Phoenix? The coast must have moved eastward.

Donald Trump hates immigrants. Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson and Jeanine Pirro hate immigrants. Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson and Jeanine Pirro work at Fox News. Donald Trump's favorite channel is Fox News. See how everything fits together?

Carlson degrades women. Carlson degrades gays. Carlson degrades immigrants. Carlson degrades Democrats. Carlson is lewd, crude and vulgar. He fits right in at Fox News, Donald Trump's favorite channel.

They criticized her, they attacked her, they condemned her.....and now they've hired her. I wonder if Carlson, Pirro and Hannity will start being nicer to her now. Nah, probably not.

Donald Trump hates Mexicans and immigrants. Fox News hates Mexicans and immigrants. Donald Trump, not surprisingly, loves Fox News. A mistake in a Fox News chyron was pounced upon by liberals as proof of the network's racism and anti-Latino bias.

I'm not sure the National Enquirer really counts as "news media." The tabloid, founded in 1926, tried to blackmail Jeff Bezos, bought and then killed the stories of two women with whom Donald Trump had affairs, tried to discredit Harvey Weinstein's accusers, falsely claimed Hillary Clinton was a lesbian, falsely claimed Antonin Scalia was assassinated by a hooker and falsely claimed Richard Simmons underwent sex-change surgery. But if you'd like to own the Enquirer, now is your chance.

Cohen, who is part of the family that founded what is now the leading magazine distributor on the east coast, is paying $100 million. I think he's overpaying by $90 million.
