He now runs an entire company, buying clearance items at Walmart and selling them on Amazon. This year's sales should top $8,000,000 and profits will be around $2,500,000. Golly gee!

When you sell things on Amazon, doesn't Amazon take a big percentage of the profit?

Amazon's profit percentage on third-party sales varies, depending on the item. On items with typically high markups, such as jewelry, Amazon keeps 20%. On most electronics, Amazon keeps 15%. And, speaking of Amazon.......

Where I work (at the post office) we deliver a lot of parcels from Amazon but we heard they're going to build a new facility in Culver City and start using their own drivers. Amazon sells almost everything and they will even deliver groceries and put them in people's refrigerators. I think they're trying to take over the country.
