    Egan, Gerry Rafferty, Roger Brown, Rab Noakes and Iain Campbell formed Stealers Wheel in 1972 in Paisley, Scotland. There were several lineup changes before the band broke up in 1975. In May 1973, they reached #6 on the Hot 100 and #8 in the UK with Stuck In The Middle With You. In March 1974, they got to #29 on the Hot 100 and #25 in the UK with Star. Three of the later members formed a new short-lived Stealers Wheel in 2008.

    Wally Fowler & the Georgia Clodhoppers formed in 1943 in Knoxville, Tennessee. They became the Oak Ridge Quartet in 1947 and the Oak Ridge Boys in 1961. In 1977, the Oak Ridge Boys, which was then Joe Bonsall, Duane Allen, Richard Sterban and William Lee Golden, switched from Southern gospel music to country music.
