    Patricia Morison appeared in dozens of plays and movies during her 80-year career but her biggest success was her role as diva Lilli Vanessi in Kiss Me Kate, which opened on Broadway in 1948 and ran for 1,077 performances. Lyricist Cole Porter had heard her sing in Hollywood and personally selected her for the role. She also starred in a London production of Kiss Me Kate that opened in 1951 and ran for 400 performances. "Wunderbar!"
