    Eikhard released 18 albums and had 15 chart hits in Canada including It Takes Time, Smiling Wine, Something In Your Face and a remake of Fleetwood Mac's Say You Love Me. She wrote Something To Talk About, which became a #5 hit in 1991 for Bonnie Raitt. Eikhard had first offered the song to Anne Murray – who turned it down.

    The Velvelettes quintet formed in 1961 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Their first hit, Needle In A Haystack, reached #31 on the R&B chart and #45 on the Hot 100 in November 1964. Their follow-up, He Was Really Sayin' Somethin', reached #21 on the R&B chart and #64 on the Hot 100 in February 1965. Bananarama had a minor hit with a remake of He Was Really Sayin' Somethin' in 1982.

    Gracie had released five unsuccessful singles for the Cadillac and 20th Century labels before becoming the first artist to sign with Cameo, a Philadelphia label launched in 1956. Butterfly, his debut single, was number one for two weeks in April 1957. (A version by Andy Williams had hit number one two weeks earlier.) Gracie's next single, Fabulous, reached #16 in June 1957.

    The Specials formed in 1977 in Coventry, England. They've released nine studio albums and five live albums. Among their hits are Gangsters, It's You, Rat Race, Ghost Town and Free Nelson Mandela. Terry Hall was a member of the Specials from 1977 to 1981 and from 2008 to 2022 and he co-wrote Our Lips Are Sealed, a 1981 hit by the Go-Go's.
