    The Funk Brothers were a group of Detroit session musicians who played on almost every Motown recording from 1959 until 1972 when the label moved to Los Angeles. The Funk Brothers won a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2004, were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2013 and were inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Hall Of Fame in 2014.

    Los Lobos formed in 1973 in East Los Angeles. González left the group in 1976. Their remake of Ritchie Valens' La Bamba went to number one in August 1987. Among their other hits are Will The Wolf Survive, Down On The Riverbed and a remake of Valens' Come On Let's Go.
